American college football season
The 1946 West Chester Golden Rams football team was an American football team that represented West Chester State Teachers College (now known as West Chester University ) as a member of the Pennsylvania State Teachers College Conference (PSTCC) during the 1946 college football season . In their 10th year under head coach Glenn Killinger , the Golden Rams compiled an overall record of 9–1 with a mark of 2–1 in conference play, tying for third place in the PSTCC. The team outscored its opponents by a total of 187 to 33.[ 1]
At a time when college football was not fully integrated, the West Chester team featured Johnny Eaton, an African-American back from Abington, Pennsylvania .[ 2]
