14 Sagittarii is a single,[6] orange-hued star in the southern zodiacconstellation of Sagittarius. It is faintly visible to the naked eye under good seeing conditions, having an apparent visual magnitude of 5.49.[2] Based upon an annual parallax shift of 7.20±0.41 mas,[1] it is located some 450 light years away. The star is moving closer to the Sun with a heliocentric radial velocity of around −59 km/s.[4] It should achieve perihelion in about two million years, approaching as close as 136.1 ly (41.72 pc).[4]
