Uraeus (/jʊəˈriːəs/;[1] jamak Uraei atau Uraeuses; dari kata Yunani οὐραῖος, ouraîos, "di ekornya"; dari kata Mesir jʿr.t (iaret)) adalah sebuah bentuk dari kobra Mesir yang dipakai sebagai simbol kedaulatan, keningratan, deitas dan otoritas ilahi di Mesir kuno.
Simbolisme
Uraeus adalah simbol untuk dewi Wadjet.[2] Ia adalah salah satu dewi Mesir terawal dan sering digambarkan sebagai kobra,, karena ia merupakan dewi ular.
