Harta benda Inggris di seberang lautan, juga dikenal dengan nama imperium kolonial Inggris, terdiri dari beragam jenis wilayah di seberang lautan yang dikolonisasi, ditaklukkan, atau diperoleh dengan cara lain oleh Kerajaan Inggris selama beberapa abad sebelum pengesahan Undang-Undang Persatuan tahun 1707 di antara Kerajaan Inggris dan Kerajaan Skotlandia sehingga menciptakan negara baru bernama Kerajaan Britania Raya. Banyak dari harta benda Inggris tersebut kemudian menjadi batu fondasi Imperium Britania Raya yang merupakan negara dengan angkatan laut dan kekuatan dagang yang berkembang pesat, Kerajaan Inggris sendiri belum bisa mengimbangi Republik Belanda, Kerajaan Portugal, dan Mahkota Kastilia.

Penjajahan Inggris di seberang lautan pertama kali didirikan di Pulau Irlandia, disusul oleh koloni lain di Amerika Utara, Bermuda, dan Hindia Barat, dan oleh pos perdagangan yang disebut "pabrik" di Hindia Timur, seperti Bantam, dan di anak benua India, dimulai dengan kota bernama Surat. Pada tahun 1639, dibangunlah sekumpulan perbentengan Inggris di pesisir India dimulai dengan Benteng St. George. Pada tahun 1661, pernikahan antara Raja Charles II dengan Catherine dari Braganza membuat Charles mendapatkan harta benda baru sebagai harta sesan yang sebelumnya merupakan milik Portugal, harta benda tersebut yaitu Tangier di Afrika Utara dan Bombay di India.

Di Amerika Utara, Newfoundland dan Virginia adalah dua pusat utama kolonisasi Inggris. Selama abad ke-17, Maine, Plymouth, New Hampshire, Salem, Massachusetts Bay, New Scotland, Connecticut, New Haven, Maryland, dan Rhode Island and Providence masuk ke dalam jajahan Inggris. Pada tahun 1664, New Netherland dan New Sweden berhasil diambil alih dari Belanda, kemudian menjadi New York, New Jersey, dan sebagian Delaware dan Pennsylvania.
