This study aims to determine the role of learning media by using the Whatsapp application accompanied by continuous recitation to increase student interest in Hindu religious education at SD Negeri 2 Batununggul during the Covid 19 pandemic. The study refers to previous research using the same variables, namely in the form of student interest in learning. This type of research is a qualitative type, the data presented is data from observation (direct observation) on the research object, in this case the students of SD Negeri 2 Batununggul. The sample used was students in grades IV to VI, amounting to 67 people from a total population of 117 people. The formulation of the problem raised in this study is the extent to which students are interested in the learning media used so that there is an increase in student interest in learning. The data collection technique was carried out by providing several statement items which were distributed through a questionnaire. The temporary assumption that can be raised from this research is that recitation through the Whatsapp application can increase student interest in learning. From the results of the data processing carried out, this study can be concluded that giving assignments (recitation) through the Whatsapp application can increase student interest in learning in Hindu Religious Education lessons at SD Negeri 2 Batununggul during the Covid 19 pandemic. indicators used as a reference in this study.
