Hungary's Editors' Choice Top 40 chartThis chart is listed among the deprecated charts stating that "this is a critic's list, not a reflection of sales or airplay". I think whoever wrote this possibly only assumed it from the chart's name and didn't take the time to look into it properly, or got the wrong information from somewhere. I'm from Hungary and this chart in fact was always an airplay chart and it was never a critic's list. At the bottom of this page (https://slagerlistak.hu/editors-choice-top-40-slagerlista) there is an explanation in Hungarian about how this airplay chart works and what's the difference between the "Rádiós Top 40" airplay chart and this one. "Rádiós Top 40" is based on audience impression, so the bigger a radio station the bigger the influence it has on the chart. The "Editors' Choice Top 40" airplay chart measures spins from all the stations without taking into consideration the reach of the radio stations. It is similar how in the USA there's Radio Songs chart with audience impression stats and the Pop Airplay chart with spins only. I would like to suggest that this chart should be eligible to use, but only when a song couldn't enter the "Rádiós Top 40" chart, as I believe that should be considered as the main one. What are your thoughts about this? Thanks for taking the time reading my suggestion Kirtap92 (talk) 09:20, 15 September 2024 (UTC)
Billboard Canada chartsAll of the archives for Canada Digital Song Sales, Canada AC, Canada Hot AC, CHR/Top 40, and All-Format Airplay have been seemingly wiped from the Billboard website and no longer appear in artist chart histories. This is why it was important to have archived these URLs, especially for Canada Digital Song Sales as that also contained the 1996–2006 Nielsen SoundScan charts for Canada. Yangaroo Canada chartsI'm not sure if any users are familiar with Yangaroo — I came across their website and noticed they publish weekly charts in Canada for songs under three categories: Top Downloads, Top CanCon Downloads and Most Active Indies. All categories have only 10 positions. Billboard Canada also publishes Yangaroo's weekly results stating: The following are tracks delivered to radio by digital distributor Yangaroo in Canada and broken down into three categories. Top Downloads and Top Canadian Downloads represent the most copied tracks. Most Active Indies blends downloads and streams, with the affiliated label and radio promotions company in parentheses. Yangaroo's website states: Top Downloads are the most downloaded singles on DMDS during the given period. Top CanCon Downloads are the most downloaded singles on DMDS marked by the sender as Canadian Content during the given period. Most Active indies are the most streamed and downloaded singles on DMDS during the given period on releases not directly promoted to radio by any of the major record companies. Would this be an okay chart to include? I've already added it to several pages but if it's considered a bad chart I will remove them. Pillowdelight (talk) 08:29, 1 December 2024 (UTC)
?Why are radio monitor charts unacceptable…. Zacharythoden (talk) 23:23, 8 December 2024 (UTC) South Korea SongsLooks like we included K-pop Hot 100, but when the chart was discontinued and migrated to South Korea Songs, we stopped using it. Why is that? RachelTensions (talk) 16:06, 13 December 2024 (UTC)
Radioscope New Zealand certificationsThere appears to be a database with updated RMNZ certifications for singles and albums. These certifications correspond to those appearing on the Official Aotearoa Music Charts website. Should these be treated as official certifications on Wikipedia? China TME UNI ChartThere has been discussion in 2022 about the China TME UNI Chart, the concern about it was Wikipedia:SINGLEVENDOR at that time. Since then, the chart has added sources from other vendors as well, making it more suitable for inclusion: 1. It is published by a recognized reliable source. The chart is published both at the TME website and the Billboard website. 2. It covers sales or broadcast outlets from multiple sources. According to the Billboard website ( mouse at the i logo on the page) and other news reports, the chart covers following sources:
3. It is static, that is, the data in the chart cannot change. Could this chart be added to the list now? 生米一粒 (talk) 23:51, 16 December 2024 (UTC) Canada Indigenous Music CountdownCan the Indigenous Music Countdown please be added to the list for Canada? This is one of the national charts in Canada and is included as an acceptable chart under the 'Commercial' category on page 9 of the FACTOR Artist Profile Additional Information Guide. FACTOR is highly reputable, and one of the only major music funding organizations in Canada. Stacysaurusrex (talk) 01:30, 19 December 2024 (UTC)
