Trenck's PandursHi! I posted at Talk:Trenck's Pandurs regarding your edit. Please take a moment to respond. Cheers--Tomobe03 (talk) 10:15, 1 May 2014 (UTC) KAIST nameHello WSIHUN? We saw your edit on KAIST. Don't worry, that is a common mistake, perhaps the most common on the KAIST Wiki entry. Until 2008, the institute used the written out name and its acronym. But, then the universiy urged the government to change the name because KAIST was no longer about Korea, and the institution was no longer about just science and technology (expanded into communication, business, economics, and public policy). So, the acronym became the name. It is not like Massachusetts Institute of Technology and MIT. In this case, it is just KAIST, reflecting a change of focus. KAIST now uses logographics with that spelled out name removed. Someone should go onto that site and update the image on the wiki. Snowfalcon cu (talk) 19:45, 16 May 2014 (UTC)

I reversed your good faith edit on Paneer because I know that yogurt can be used as the acid in this process. Am at work now and cannot provide a reference, but I will later. Am marking as "cite needed" for now. — Bill W. (Talk) (Contrib) (User:Wtwilson3) — 18:26, 10 June 2014 (UTC)
June 2014Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Karsilamas may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

To keep this from becoming a tug-of-war, if you have such evidence of usage, please share it at the talk page of the article, because it certainly contradicts anything I've seen in the relevant literature I have so far read. Andrea CongreavesHey, WSIHAUN. Nice work on digging through the Italian Wikipedia. Could I convince you to come with a list of the European teams (and seasons) for which Congreaves played from 2000 (when she left the United States) until 2007 (when she retired as a player)? I'm running out of steam . . . . It's apparent that she had a pretty significant European career for six or seven years, but I am completely unfamiliar with the European women's basketball leagues and teams. If you can pull together a rough list of teams and tenures with a source for each, I will clean up the text and footnote formatting . . . . Cheers. Dirtlawyer1 (talk) 21:25, 5 July 2014 (UTC)
Please stop trying to speedily delete the redirect from Nasuhi Ertegün to Nesuhi Ertegun. It looks like an acceptable redirect to me. If you believe this redirect needs to be deleted, I recommend taking it to Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion instead. --Metropolitan90 (talk) 16:36, 13 July 2014 (UTC)
NactorYou left the following message: "You seem to have experience in AfDs about actors. Do you think that this actress is notable? In my opinion not, but I do not like to be criticized there, either." I think that you are correct. WP:NACTOR states that, to be notable, an actor:
The article does not suggest that any of the above applies to Sara Powell. You will be criticized for some actors' AfDs regardless because their fans, publicists, mothers, whomever will believe that you are evil for not recognizing the person's innate greatness. As long as you proceed in good faith and do not personally attack the subject or Wikipedians, you should be fine. Good luck and be bold.--Rpclod (talk) 20:11, 19 July 2014 (UTC) I have no idea how that "I" works in Turkish. If that's the right place where you moved it, I think the talk page needs to be moved as well? I also noted that someone created a redirect from Worst movie death scene ever to it at some point, lol.--Milowent • hasspoken 21:27, 23 July 2014 (UTC)
Baklava Page DisputeThere is a lively dispute (including yourself) on the Baklava Talk page. Please leave the dispute indicator label, "The neutrality of this article is disputed. Relevant discussion may be found on the talk page. Please do not remove this message until the dispute is resolved" on the disputed section of the baklava article, so that we can recruit other editors to help establish an evenhanded resolution to this potentially biased article. TalkWhat is "P.D."? I'm not familiar with that term -- is it another way of saying "P.S."? Anyway, it is best that all posts be signed at the bottom, even if they are PS's, just to keep clear who is saying what. --Macrakis (talk) 18:51, 1 August 2014 (UTC)
Baklava editThank you for your kind words about my editing. I removed the following text:
for several reasons: As I said in the edit summary, it is redundant, as the history is already described in detail in the "History" section -- the history of filo/yufka and of baklava are intertwined. Talking about the origin of the word 'filo' in English in the 'baklava' article doesn't make much sense, especially not in the "preparation" section. Writing things like "Source X says Y" is not ideal; it is better to say "Y <footnote X>" unless there is a debate that is being reported on -- as there is in the History section. Combining the origin of the word 'filo' in English with the history of the pastry is conflating two quite separate issues, each of which is amply covered in its own section. --Macrakis (talk) 18:59, 1 August 2014 (UTC) Please help with the Hiberno Irish pageSorry i didnt mean to delete your contribution, i copied and repasted my original verion and i missed your edits, sorry about that,,but somebody was trying to remove my references--Twominds (talk) 18:02, 2 August 2014 (UTC) Im also quite new to this so can you please help me further with any errors you see thanks --Twominds (talk) 18:07, 2 August 2014 (UTC)

Thanks for raising the POV issue on Islamic terrorism; the page had accidentally got on my watchlist, I had never read it, but I did after your edits, and I was just as horrified as you were. This is not my core area of interest, but if you make any major effort to clean this mess up, I'll be watching with interest, and I'll try to lend a hand, too. That said, are you sure that your current merger request is the way to go? Even to me, those seem like topics that would be distinct even when written in an NPOV fashion; so the merger discussion will result in a "keep both," IMO. Rather than spend time there, you may want to deal with the articles themselves. Also, you may be interested in this, which (like many other pages) is a fully legitimate topic which requires a solid article, that has instead been infected with American and Israeli POV. Regards, Vanamonde93 (talk) 11:09, 13 August 2014 (UTC) SorrySorry for any unnecessary rudenesses. --Corriebertus (talk) 07:36, 14 August 2014 (UTC)
Removal of sentence in ISISThe normal way to deal with this on this page is to add a {{citation needed}} tag and add a note about it on the Talk page – and that way you would have saved the 1RR! That para has been there for a long time, and I'm surprised it hasn't been tagged before! --P123ct1 (talk) 08:14, 14 August 2014 (UTC)
Thank youThank you for your welcome. User:City12345 (talk) 12:12, 17 August 2014 (UTC) Aylin TezelThanks for your input on Aylin Tezel. I added the pronunciation, (eye-LEEN TET-sel) based on how Germans say the name in interviews and such, without any correction by Aylin. I read in a German magazine that she once said that her last name, Tezel, was pronounced like Gemetzel. That word would sound to an American like ga-MET-sel. Turks might say the name differently, but Aylin was born in Germany and does not speak Turkish. I have never heard her say her own name herself, but I imagine she would use a pronunciation like eye-LEEN TET-sel. Tupelo the typo fixer (talk) 16:46, 18 August 2014 (UTC)

Should they all be mixed in together? I thought keeping the criticisms separate would be logical and quite useful for Muslims and non-Muslims alike. Any other ideas on how to handle the information in this section would be welcome. Please do add any you have to the new Talk page section just opened, as this is just draft ideas at this stage. Regards, P123ct1 (talk) 11:32, 4 October 2014 (UTC) Comment on Sivriada editHello there, I saw your edit comment to https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=International_Antalya_Golden_Orange_Film_Festival&oldid=628485783#Censorship_in_2014 but couldn't understand what you meant. Please don't hesitate to let me know if you saw an aspect that can be improved in the relevant section of Sivriada. Thanks. Mehmetaergun (talk) 15:09, 6 October 2014 (UTC) Beauty pageantsBecause I'm very much a chronic self-justifier - my comments were more a result of my having been involved in quite a lot of beauty pageant AFDs recently. I wanted to make it clear that despite voting delete, I thought the alternative pageants/winners should be just as notable as their non-alternative equivalents. I've also voted Keep on other beauty pageant related AFDs despite feeling that the subjects aren't really deserving, because there is a precedent for the national title holder and representative of her (it's always her, never Mr. World or Mr. Universe) country having a basic article in line with sportspeople, etc., whilst xpressing sympathy with the point of view of the nominator. So yeah, while I don't like beauty pageants I still try to at least give their claims to notability and representation proper consideration. Probably more than you ever wanted to know! Maintenance tagHi. Tx for your work on the article, and I do agree that it is moving in the right direction. I've restored maintenance tags, as until they're addressed the approach is to leave them. Hopefully it will lead to them being addressed more quickly. Best. --Epeefleche (talk) 16:42, 19 October 2014 (UTC) The article has some problems. I added talk header and projects. I suspect it will be nom'ed for Afd. Also, Abdülmecid II has a good looking daughter. Thanks for your contribution. ;-) ~Technophant (talk) 17:38, 19 October 2014 (UTC) AfDI appreciate your comment. My suggestion is that if any further such remarks are made, you just reply very briefly if at all--unless it actually becomes an issue at ANI or somewhere where a full reply is needed. This is a geographic area that very easily escalates, and anyone working with articles having any connection needs to be very calm about it. Try to stay way clear of the often irrational process at Arb Enforcement. DGG ( talk ) 18:53, 20 October 2014 (UTC) ANIThere is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Responses1) since when I began editing Iran articles, "rural district" was used in the existing ones, I decided to go with the flow, as most English-language readers wouldn't know the term "dehestan". Similarly, the word "district" was used for "bakhsh", the word "county" was used for "shahrestan", and province for "ostan". The last one is probably the most common English-language rendering of "ostan". The others' usage is mixed. Some folks insist that "shahrestan" is better rendered "township" ("shahr" means "city", hence shahrestan is the land under a city's jurisdiction...), however, in most English-languages, township is akin to a municipality and is well below the status of a second-level of a four-level jurisdictional schema. As to whether to use "dehestan" rather than "rural district", I'm ambivalent, but I tend not to mess with a structure that was well underway when I arrived. 2) No, I'm from the USA. Cheers, Carlossuarez46 (talk) 00:12, 3 November 2014 (UTC) Talk:SocialismHi: The history of Talk:Socialism shows that I added a couple of lines and also deleted most of somebody else's entry, which you understandably reverted. The entry that I apparently deleted was not visible to me when I added my little contribution, and I did not get a warning of an edit conflict, so it appears that something weird happened: first time in the year since I began editing with WP. I certainly did not intend to delete anything, and if I knew what I did to create this problem, I'd avoid it in future. The only clue I have is that it's one of the few edits I've done on an iPad, which has a somewhat deficient WP interface. If I accidentally did something stupid, apologies.
