Long named articlesGreat job on many of your new articles Waygugin. I noticed the articles Baekhwasan (Yeongdong, Chungcheongbuk-do/Sangju, Gyeongsangbuk-do) and Baekhwasan (Goesan, Chungcheongbuk-do/Mungyeong, Gyeongsangbuk-do) and was wondering if there are any places to move these articles to give them are more concise name. For example; Baekhwasan (Yeongdong) and Baekhwasan (Goesan). I'm not familiar with these names, so I'm making a suggestion rather than moving them myself (in case the examples I gave above don't make sense). Let me know what you think, Arbitrarily0 (talk) 01:17, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Baekhwasan (Goesan, Chungcheongbuk-do/Mungeyong, Gyeongsangbuk-do), by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Baekhwasan (Goesan, Chungcheongbuk-do/Mungeyong, Gyeongsangbuk-do) is a redirect page resulting from an implausible typo (CSD R3). This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Daemisan (Chungcheongbuk-do/Gyeongsangbuk-do), and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: Daemisan (Gangwon-do). It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally moving or duplicating content, please be sure you have followed the procedure at Wikipedia:Splitting by acknowledging the duplication of material in edit summary to preserve attribution history. This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. You might find {{Infobox Korean name/Mountain}} of use; unlike the usual infobox, this is pre-set to match up with {{Infobox Mountain}}, so there's no need to mess with parameters such as
Titles of administrative divisions in KoreaHi, your input would be appreciated at WT:KOREA#What would be proper titles for eup, myeon, dong?. Thanks.--Caspian blue 14:16, 6 September 2009 (UTC) AmazingAre you planning to nominate your future article in your sandbox for WP:FA? It looks like you're going toward the way. I'm just wondering whether you're Korean (obviously you can read high-level texts in Korean). Anyway, thank you for the input on the titles of eup, myeon, dong at WT:Korea.--Caspian blue 23:53, 6 September 2009 (UTC)
Hi, I believe you can translate the poem, but I've just brought one for you. This is almost literal translations, so you might need to change it to "better prose".

Ready yet?Hi, when are you going to debut your about-to-be-star to the world? :-) If you feel you're ready, you can visit and ask any admin for combining your contribution of the sanbox with the existent Hwaeomsa article. --Caspian blue 03:28, 29 November 2009 (UTC) Parthian EmpireThank you! [Bows]. That was a very kind and considerate message you left on my talk page. The article is currently a Featured Article Candidate; I hope that all goes well there. It's my first significant Iranian history article, since much of my work here focuses on China. It's a shame that I haven't invested more time in Korean history, which is too often ignored in Western mainstream scholarship due to the overwhelming focus on China and Japan. Regardless, I did take the time to create and lift Choe Bu to featured status. Choe was a high official and court historian of the early Joseon Dynasty, best known as a travel writer after he was shipwrecked in China for a time. I think the article is in good shape, but if you have any suggestions, I'd love to hear them! I see that Caspian Blue is very excited about one of your up-and-coming projects; when that comes to fruition, please, by all means leave a message on my talk page and I'll have a look. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, will be commencing a two-month trial at approximately 23:00, 2010 June 15 (UTC). Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under flagged protection. Flagged protection is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here. If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 20:24, 15 June 2010 (UTC) Buramsan or Bulamsan?Hi Waygugin I noticed your article Buramsan that you spell the mountain's name Buramsan. It seems some sources transliterate the name as Buramsan, while others [8] use Bulamsan. I understand the difference is due to way the sound of ㄹ changes depending on its position in the word, but I don't actually know any Korean. Could you confirm if the name should be Buramsan or Bulamsan? Thanks! Djeyewater (talk) 21:12, 26 May 2011 (UTC)

I would appreciate it if you to contribute your thoughts or at least glance over it. The more people looking/thinking about it will give us better ideas as to what should be decided. Orlady (talk) 00:02, 22 February 2013 (UTC) Left or Right?Greetings, and thank you so much for your pages! Question -- "Viewing left to right, they are Avalokiteśvara, the Bodhisattva of compassion; Samantabhadra, the Bodhisattva of meditation; Manjusri, the Bodhisattva of wisdom; and Ksitigarbha, the Bodhisattva of hell.[60]" isn't consistent with "In the case of Prabhutaratna, the left hand is raised while the right rests lightly over the knee, while on Amitābha this is reversed.[66]" The contradiction is in the sources; is there a way we can figure out which is correct? "The statues of Manjusri and Samantabhadra are to the direct left and right, respectively, of Sakyamuni. Towards the extremities of the altar, Avalokiteśvara is to the right of Amitābha and Ksitigarbha to the left of Prabhutaratna." suggests that the first quotation has switched Prabhutaratna with Amitabha -- ? Hi, Asian 10,000 Challenge inviteHi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! This is a message to let you know that a subpage of your user page has been moved to User:Waygugin/Hwaeomsasajeok (1924) (2). This has been done since titles with consecutive apostrophes (for example, '' or ''') have been known to cause issues with wiki markup on pages if the page title is linked on other pages. Since the end of 2014, the creation of titles containing consecutive apostrophes has been restricted by Wikipedia's title creation blacklist. The page can now be found at User:Waygugin/Hwaeomsasajeok (1924) (2). Feel free to contact me with any questions regarding this. Thank you. Steel1943 (talk) 18:13, 11 November 2019 (UTC) |
