Welcome! Yet another welcome!Hello, Urbashi, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:
Since you've shown some interest in editing topics related to India, we hope you'll stay and add content to India related articles. Indian topics are generally underrepresented on wikipedia and you can help counter this imbalance by becoming a regular contributor and by joining or watchlisting India related discussions (for example, Noticeboard for India-related topics). Again, welcome! I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on discussion pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. I think you can nominate the article Chapal Bhaduri for wp:DYK.--Dwaipayan (talk) 18:57, 10 November 2012 (UTC) Disambiguation link notification for November 12Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Geoscience requestSince you are a geoscientist, can I please request you to have a look at the second paragraph of the " Geography and climate" section of the article Tripura? The paragraph has information on physiography and rocks etc. the info have been sourced to appropriate references. Please have a look if the sentences have any technical errors, or any other explanation is needed. Thanks a lot.--Dwaipayan (talk) 16:31, 15 November 2012 (UTC)
Style mattersLong ago, we decided to minimize capitalization on wikipedia, i.e., we don't capitalize section titles, and basically anything that doesn't need to be capitalized. See MOS:CAPS. In other words, we write "sequence stratigraphy" or "Sequence stratigraphy" instead of "Sequence Stratigraphy" unless it is a publication title. Regards. Your submission of Template:Did you know nominations/Chapal Bhaduri at the Did You Know nominations page is not complete; see step 3 of the nomination procedure. If you do not want to continue with the nomination, tag the nomination page with {{db-g7}}, or ask a DYK admin. Thank you. You create really well-built articles. Keep up the good work! --Dwaipayan (talk) 13:13, 27 November 2012 (UTC) On Abbas UddinIn the talk page of Abbas Uddin, there is a note regarding copyright problem. You can ask that editor (Moonriddengirl) that you want to start the article from scratch. Moonriddengirl is a copyright expert, she will probably tell you to write a temporary article. Usually temporary articles are written in a subpage of talk page, something like Talk:Abbas Uddin/Temp. Once you believe the temporary article is of sizable volume, you can let Moonridengirl know. Then the temporary article's text will be moved to the actual article. See Talk:Surya Sen/Temp for example.--Dwaipayan (talk) 23:20, 27 November 2012 (UTC)

Invitation to participate in an interview!Hello Urbashi! My name is Jadine, and I am an undergraduate researcher from the University of Toronto. I'm currently looking to get in touch with female Indian editors for my research on the Indian Wikipedian gender gap. I saw your name in the list of participants on the Wikipedia page for the co-ordination of the International Women's Day events happening in India (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Meetup/International_Women's_Day,_India), and I'd be really interested in talking to you about your experiences as an editor, if you are willing! If you're interested in speaking to me about this, or just want to find out more about my research (or if you just want to say "hi!"), please contact me by replying on my talk page. Thanks! Wikipedia Workshop, MumbaiHello, I was one of the organisers of the WikiWomen's Workshop held in Mumbai last year. One of the projects I am associated with is Gender gap. As a part of the Wikimedia community, would you like to play a supporting role in future workshops, especially those targeted at women? Would you like to attend an advanced level Wikipedia editing workshop -- Rohini (talk) 18:37, 27 August 2013 (UTC) Re: Wikipedia Workshop, MumbaiHi Rohini, Thank you so much for this opportunity. I would like to do. I will be busy for coming 1 month due to academic schedule and may not be able to support. Speedy deletion nomination of Somnath Dasgupta
A tag has been placed on Somnath Dasgupta requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable. If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Ankit Maity «T § C»«Review Me» 07:37, 20 April 2014 (UTC) Your contributed article, Department of Earth Sciences
Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Department of Earth Sciences. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Assam University. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Assam University – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page. If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. 49ersBelongInSanFrancisco (talk) 08:26, 20 April 2014 (UTC) Hi, You have been pruned from a listHi Urbashi!
