Hello, I wanted to add a slideshow of images to my user page. It functions nicely on desktop, but on the app it loads them all in a list. I have been informed this is a fallback due to javascript. I would have put the slideshow in a collapsed section, but when I did so, the images failed to load (unless I loaded the jump-to directly, rather than opening the collapse after the page had loaded).
I would like to know if there is a way to have my slideshow not display all of the images on mobile, while retaining functionality on desktop. If not, I will probably make a subpage for my slideshow.
Thanks --Cmrc23 (talk) 11:41, 8 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"20241008114100","author":"Cmrc23","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-Cmrc23-20241008114100-Query_on_slideshow_for_my_mentor","replies":["c-The4lines-20241013160000-Cmrc23-20241008114100"]}}-->
- Hey @Cmrc23: sorry for not responding earlier, I've been a bit busy. To answer your question, I'm not sure. I'm not very knowledgeable about the tech side of Wikipedia. I would recommended asking Oshwah, he knows a lot more about that side of Wikipedia. For your work at CCI
|
We'll get Werldwayd finished someday- but until then, here is a 1976 United States stamp in honour of all your work at CCI, and the two cases we've closed together. Though I may not understand how you survive in those temperatures, seeing this made me thing of you. Hello, I wanted to know if copying a reference from a Wikipedia article and pasting it in another article is considered a copyright policy violation or not? I am talking about this edit in particular. Thank you -- Mahan (talk) 19:12, 15 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"20241015191200","author":"Mahan","type":"comment","level":1,"id":"c-Mahan-20241015191200-Question_about_copyright","replies":["c-The4lines-20241016043400-Mahan-20241015191200"]}}-->
- @Mahan: No, it's not. Copyright wise, you're in the clear. I'm not going to comment on whether or not you should add the reference. I think that's an issue you should raise on the talk page.
