Naming convention for season articles

Hello,

since you seem to be busy with creating season articles for various Saudi leagues as of lately, I thought I'd give you a quick heads-up about the naming convention for season articles in general. These are named after the pattern <season> <competition>, e.g. 2009–10 Saudi Professional League. In other words, the season is placed in front of the competition name. We once had it the other way round, but this was eventually changed per this consensus in summer 2009. So, it would be nice if you could move any articles still named with the competition name in front to the current format. Abdullah Al-Wuhaib

Abdullah Al-Wuhaib (Arabic: عبد الله الوهيب) (1959-2007 ) is a former Saudi Arabian handball player, who played in Al-Arabi, he achieved several accomplishments ,with his team and played from 1974 till 1993.In 2009 biography about him was published by the name Wuhaiba the iron hand.

Career

He started practicing the game when he was a student in the Middle school level with the encouragement of physical education teacher Mr. Ibrahim Turkish, and Al-Arabi Club coach Ali Alcrdoon, and coach Mohammed Bastawisi, and made several achievements in several Games including athletics.

National team

He joined in the National team with the youth team between 1976 / 1975 , then he was Upgraded to the first team where he achieved several positions in the in the runner-up in a number of official tournaments and friendly, and achieved fifth top scorer in world military championship and was named the best player in the Cup of Palestine in 1979, and the best player in the Arab cup.He Participated in the Friendship Championship held in Kuwait with the Gulf team, and won the tournament's top scorer.

Locations

Ah, yes, I understand what you mean here. I would put down the example you gave me, but put in a note. This is something I did in the Qatari League.

What I would do is put this code next to the stadium and/or city - probably both to be honest. ¹

At the end of the section, do the following:

¹ Although this team currently plays home games in Riyadh, they do represent the city of ......

I guess there is no harm of showing the relevant city on the map, I won't challenge it, but if you write a note, then it gives a sense of history to the league.

Is this the first season they have moved?

If you take a look at 2011 Thai Premier League, an article I'm heavly involved in, then you can see the kind of template i have going. Can write down stadium changes, name changes, anything really aslong as you use the ¹ followed by ², ³ and so on for as many examples as you have. In general, you can then follow the history of the league.

If you are serious about doing history for all the leagues, then I'm happy to help, just like we did in the Saudi Premier League.

That's fine Slmcom. Do what you would like to the page to suit your own needs. Not many people work on the Saudi pages, so feel free to create whatever you feel is good for your yourself. After all, if you are putting in the effort, then you should be able to do whatever you like. Once you've done it, I can check it over if you like.
