Diapers

The correct name for that shape which is like two equilateral traingles is a "diaper". It is an heraldic term. Although the word "diamond" is often used, it isn't correct, but it has probably come about because in heraldry a diaper was sometimes used to represent a jewel.

The development of diaper windows was in part due to the fact that three regular diamond-shaped panes could be conveniently cut from a piece of Crown glass, with minimum waste and with minimum distortion.

You're perfectly correct in your use of the term. Apparently it means a type of cloth with that sort of pattern in its weave, which was used for babies' napkins (as well as other things.) ;-)...Amandajm (talk) 13:21, 17 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Is that pronounced the same as "spewed" or differently? A spud is a potato... boring, I know, but relatively harmless! We used to have a dog called Spud. The name didn't suit him at all. He ought to have been called Rover. (defintitely not Fido) He was a very handsome black retriever. He liked cars rather a lot, but we didn't own one. Last time I saw Spud, he was sitting in the front seat of a Mercedes Benz, with one paw on the window rim, his tongue waving, his ears blowing in the wind and a great grin all over his deceitful, home-and-family deserting face. Distilled?!

Did you really mean to say that malt liquor is distilled?!? Around here, malt liquor is just beer. It's not distilled. I'm unable to find any references to distilled beverages that are called "malt liquor". Friday (talk) 16:54, 7 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Carnivore diet. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree.
