Re:Interesting

I have never heard of the band before but I did check out the links you gave me and I did follow up with my own Google search. I think that this might also be a hoax as I could find no information. I could not find the lyrics either. The article (Next (Son Of Dork song)) says the lyrics were leaked but I could not find them. It is usually also in my experience not common practice to put the lyrics on a page anyways and the lyrics themselves seem rather choppy compared to what is heard on the Myspace. Anyways, thank you for pointing this out, I feel perhaps we should take this to an admin and at least point out the possibility of the account being used for vandalism as all the users new page edits seem to have the same format and no sources after being asked for them.  Orfen User Talk | Contribs 04:29, 9 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re:WikiProject Green Day

Oh wow, thank you for the invite. I have been thinking about creating this project before but never got around to doing it. So thanks for creating it, if we get some work done on the articles they are sure to become featured. I added my name to the list so hopefully we can get some more members to help out and make this project a success. Anyways thanks again, and happy holidays!  Orfen User Talk | Contribs 19:14, 24 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure if you're the right person to tell precisely (i'm effectively a newb at wikipedia) but I noticed that on the page for Basket Case (Single), a Greenday song, there was a picture of the Master Cheif from Halo with a refertance to that song in it, however the picture doesn't seem to be actually from the game, it seems to be a parody of Halo, so, the writing "the menu from halo contains a referance to Basket Case" should probably be changed ... ? Cheers.Revoranii 11:33, 16 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, my bad then, I don't own the game, so I had no way of knowing. Thanks for checking anyways. :) Cheers. Revoranii 16:55, 18 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Biting

Hey, I know what the IP said on Gerald Way was offensive and didn't make a whole lot of sense and I know that that article and talk page are subject to a lot of fan nonsense, but please try not to bite the newcomers. Darthgriz98 00:20, 29 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Vandals

Oh my god. It was a genuine accident. Those undo things are often tricky, and what might have happened is that the nonsense was reverted before I clicked undo. Which will set back the revision further and cause problems. I often use those undo switches to get rid of vandalism quickly. I didn't mean any harm sorry. Re: Thank You

You're very welcome. Glad I could help clear the vandalism. Will (aka Wimt) 23:51, 13 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think you're probably right, given that you left a message on that user's talk page back in November which could be why he vandalised you. However, that user hasn't made any recent contributions and so isn't evading the 3 hour block that has been imposed on him so I'd probably leave it for the moment. If he does start vandalising with that account you could report him to WP:AIV, stating that you think he is the same user as the blocked IP. As it stands though, I would just leave it personally as it probably isn't worth the effort if that account isn't being used. Will (aka Wimt) 00:13, 14 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re:major vandalism help

I checked it out and it looks like you did a great job. Looks like things are cleared up. I checked the vandals talk page and it sort of looks like some personal attacks might've been going on so I sent an IP address a Level 1 Personal Attack warning. Sorry I couldn't check it sooner and for getting out there and handling it I reward you this:

Hmm. After reading through the Adrienne Armstrong talk page, I think it would be hard to justify his notability to other people and it would be an awful shame to put all that effort in, just for it to be afd'd. My advice is wait til there's a bit more info floating around about him so that when you do put an article together, it will be precise and unquestionably sourced. Of course you could always start writing a personal copy and develop that until it's ready? Hope that's helpful!

I came to ask how you if you'd decided to write the article and saw your message on your user/talk page; my condolences to you.

Userboxes for Autism

Continuing with what I was saying on the sandbox, this is the more personal part. I was resistant to using the infinity-rainbow because it is associated most strongly with AspiesForFreedom; 1) their very name suggests that they are Asperger-only oriented (my autism really isn't of an Asperger type), 2) the amount of in-fighting and polarization that go on at AFF, and that Aspies occasionally bring here to wikipedia, make me disinclined to use AFF symbols even while I admire what they are working toward. (exempli gratia)

The only reason I put an Asperger userbox on my info page rather than straight-ahead autism was that at the time, the only alternative said something about disorder and I'm not disordered. Seeing arguments like that makes me disinclined to call myself an Aspie or Asperger autistic on wikipedia, or anywhere else on line. (I mean, notice what people say about wanting to delete them all, and the reputation that Aspies now have.) Most important, it is not true to who I am as an autistic person. I therefore look forward to using one of your userboxes. Thank you! --Bluejay Young 08:36, 9 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Teenagers Single

I do believe we used an Absolute Punk source before for the "Welcome to the Black Parade" single earlier on. The only real issue I would have with it is the fact that they don't really state where there information is from. And WP:RS says no message board or bulletin posts. However it is most likely the next single. I'd say maybe add it as Absolute Punk really doesn't seem like it can't be relied on but if we find a source for maybe the shooting of the music video then I'd say that with the two pieces of information we'd be able to say that it is the next single.  Orfen User Talk | Contribs 19:20, 12 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

WP:MCR

Hey, I have started a topic for a revamp for WP:MCR at here. I'd value any opinions or help you could give. Not many people are active within the project and I think we should try and change that and try and become more organized. Any help is appreciated!  Orfen User Talk | Contribs 23:43, 15 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for answering me

I am the one asked about Henry in the VT massacre. I'd like to thank you for answering me. I also noticed that you said you have a friend who was killed in the massacre. Is that Henry?I am not sure whether it is a good time for you to talk about it. But I am really sorry about that......As a Chinese(I am from Taiwan), I'm also sad to hear of the news. Media here have been reporting all his hard work he paid during the difficult time. I don't speak well English. However, I still wish I could help if needed, even I am far away at the other side of the Pacific.Tsungyenlee (converse)、(Contribs) 13:08, 24 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oops......I forgot to ask you that do you think it is appropriate to list his Chinese name or Hanyu Pinyin after his name?? As your description, he seemed to love his origin. I am willing to hear your opinion..Tsungyenlee (converse)、(Contribs) 13:28, 24 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Okay. I see. I won't make any changes then. In fact, I want to be an American, too. And it might come to the reality in the near future. My family is still waiting for the goverments' response. What I want to say is that the only thing I know is I will never forget my Chinese origin, either. So I can totally understand thier thought. Don't worry~ And I would like to express my thanks for your answering me once again......
PS. Thank you for the commendation. It's very heart-warming of you to encourage such a learner like me. I can easily realize why you and Henry could become good friends. You all have a kind heart!!:)Tsungyenlee (converse)、(Contribs) 12:10, 25 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the kind help! But we rarely use AIM here in Taiwan. So I may not talk to you through it recently.(Also, I dont want to disturb you so often). Well, I'll keep your AIM username in mind, and ask for help if I really need your assitant. Thanks for your kind respond again. I really appreciate!:)Tsungyenlee (converse)、(Contribs) 13:50, 30 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Motto of the day

Hello, I notice you're using one of the {{motd}} templates, run by Wikipedia:Motto of the day. You may have noticed that some of the mottos recently have been followed by a date from 2006, or on occasion simply "Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia". The reason for this is that Motto of the day is in some very serious need of help. Participation in the project, which has never been especially high, has dropped considerably over this past summer, to the point we have had several days where no motto was scheduled to appear at all. Over the past several weeks, I've been the only editor scheduling mottos at all, but there aren't enough comments on some of these mottos to justify their use. If we do not get some help - and soon - your daily mottos will stop. In order for us to continue updating these templates for you, we need your help.

When you get a chance between your normal editing, could you stop by our nominations page and leave a few comments on some of the mottos there, especially those that do not have any comments yet? This works very simply; you read a motto, decide whether or not you like it, and post your opinion just below the motto. That's it - no experience required, just an idea of what you personally like and what you feel reflects Wikipedia and its community. If you do have past experience with the project, then please close some of the older nominations once they've got a decent consensus going. There are directions on the nominations page on how to do this.

If you have any questions, please let me know, or post on the project's talk page. I'm looking forward to reading your comments on the suggested mottos, and any additional suggestions you'd like to make. Until then, happy editing! Hersfold (t/a/c) 02:56, 4 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Message from the My Chemical Romance task force

Hello!

You may be interested to know that the WikiProject My Chemical Romance has recently been transformed into a task force of WikiProject Emo. Please visit the task force page to see what's new. This move allies the task force with a larger WikiProject that handles much of the administrative overload, thus allowing task force members to focus on the most important activity: article improvement.

The project's membership list has also been moved to the new task force page. If you see that your username is in the "Inactive/former members" section, please do not take offense; this is because you no longer appear to be active on Wikipedia. We may also take the liberty of removing the member userbox from your userpage if it appears there, to prevent you from automatically appearing in Category:My Chemical Romance task force members. Of course you are free to rejoin the task force and re-add the userbox at any time if you would like to become active again.

For active editors, it is our hope that this change will help spur you to improve articles related to My Chemical Romance. You may have noticed that the old My Chemical Romance project userbox on your user page has automatically changed to the new task force userbox. We may take the liberty of fixing the template link on your userpage, to avoid redirects.

Thank you and we hope you will continue to support the My Chemical Romance task force!

Unreferenced BLPs

Hello Onathinwhiteline! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 15 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
