No one’s paying attention to the discussions on this archive page anymore. Please start a new discussion at my main talk page. I would like to revive this project. Are you interested in working on it? — J3ff 06:42, 21 Feb 2005 (UTC) To the Commons !Hello Mxn: I found your note at Lee Lawrie and thanks, the Wired was a bit of a thrill. even for an old codger such as myself. I don't quite understand how the Commons works, and am not likely to spend the time learning, but I do have a lot of pictures spread around elsewhere, like Lawrie, mostly of sculpture. Oh yes, Cincinnati, right? You might consider taking and posting aphoto of the "Standing Lincoln" there by George Grey Barnard, which was a very controversal work in its day. You wrote, "Just west of the lakes is the bronze replica of the Capitoline Wolf which was a gift from the Italian government and presented by the Order of the Sons of Italy in 1931. I wonder what happened to the original?" In 1978 I went looking through Rome for the original. i finally discovered it in the Capitoline Museum [the Capitoline was one of the Seven Hills of Rome]. However, I discovered later that when I took a picture of it the flash didn't go off. i still have a black slide in my Rome binder. It's a sore spot. Thanks for the porcine tiour of Cincinnati. The pigs i remember were standing on top of simulated riverboat smoke stacks. Anyway, perhaps a wikipedia piece about the Capitoline Wolf [without my sad story] is in order. When you removed the IPA template from the Chuvash language page, you turned the Chuvash-specific Cyrillic letters into blank boxes for me. The only way I can read that page is with the IPA template. If you don’t like the template’s name, you can create a new template that calls those fonts and then add that one to the page. Otherwise, we need to have the IPA template put back as it was. —Stephen 12:09, 28 May 2005 (UTC) Zhuang WikipediaWhat can you tell me about Mark Williamson (en:user:node_ue)'s recent assertion in Wikipedia-l that the purportedly Zhuang content of the Zhuang Wikipedia (which I see you have contributed to in the past; that's how I came to write you here) is not in Zhuang? To reach me fastest, post to my User Talk page at the Esperanto Wikipedia, where I am based. --Haruo 19:24, 18 July 2005 (UTC)
Klingon WikipediaYou say on the multilingual monthly statistics page that Klingon has been closed. I didn't know that. Can you fill me in on the details? Was that last month, or this month? In the meantime, I'm reverting the edit because the statistics are for the first day of the month, when, as far as I know, the project was still running. BTW, their page is still functioning as of now. David Cannon 20:23, 9 August 2005 (UTC)
Khmer WikipediaHi there! You mention that the Khmer Wikipedia has, in fact, around 15 articles. Is there any way, then, to check up on the counter, which appears to be broken? I ask this because the counters on a number of other wikis appear to be munted also, and something needs to be done to fix them. Direction on MediaWiki templatingHowdy. I commented on your blog about XHTML and MT 3.2.... Thought you might be able to direct me to some easier Template tutorials. m:Help:Template is pretty confusing, even for a programmer and web designer such as myself. What's the best way to format templates on the page they're being used on? For example, I decided to put a Wikipedia:Babel key on my page, but noticed that you have yours left-aligned. What's the easiest way that I can edit templates like this? Does it require all the code listed in the edit box: {| {{prettytable}} width="242" align="left" |- | style="font-weight: bold; text-align: center" | [[Wikipedia:Babel]] |- | {{User en}}<br />{{User es-2}}<br />{{User vi-2}} |- | style="text-align: center" | [[:Category:User languages|Search user languages]] |} … or is it something easier like Listing of subpages? While I'm asking, do you happen to know how to list all of a user's subpages? Also, I noticed your User:Mxn/Main_Page_logos page and am curious what the point was; I assume the Wikimedia projects have stopped linking to the images and now go straight to the home page, right? Oh yeah, how'd you come up with "Mxn"? Visual Basic Classic wikibookI see you have contributed to the BASIC programming language article on Wikipedia. Any chance you would like to join in editing the wikibook: http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Programming:Visual_Basic_Classic? --Kjwhitefoot 10:41, 30 September 2005 (UTC) Re: Recently createdHi! thanks for pointing out these three new languages. They are added now. Have a nice day! --TarmoK 19:37, 4 October 2005 (UTC)
ThanksThanks for noticing the typo in DYK, if you notice any other mistakes please report them at Main Page since more admins watch that page and therefore mistakes get fix faster. --nixie 02:59, 3 November 2005 (UTC) Thanks for the copyedit on this article. It looks so much better now. Joyous | Talk 00:56, 20 November 2005 (UTC) translation project on metaHi Mxn, I'm a definite fan of your work keeping up with small-lang article counts. Starting a proper language-tracking project on meta, to bring together that kind of work; could use your help when you have half a mo'. +sj + 18:37, 26 November 2005 (UTC) Slovene WikipediaCould you please register on Slovene Wikipedia, even though you're just puting FA links into articles? This would be better, then your introdution in comment section. Regards, --Klemen Kocjancic 04:56, 27 November 2005 (UTC) (admin on :sl)
Reverted Template:ifHi Mxn Sorry for having reverted your edits to Template:if. if is very hairy stuff and is used in a lot of heavy duty templates. I'm also tracking some very strange bugs at the moment. I would be glad, if we could keep away any overhead as far as possible from if which is not absolutely needed. Thanks for your understanding! Maybe you could include your addition somewhere on the talk page? – Adrian | Talk 09:26, 27 November 2005 (UTC) See Template talk:Web reference#Strange bug with space chars – Adrian | Talk 10:24, 27 November 2005 (UTC)
