Don't get me wrong, it's great that you know the lead singer and stuff, but this isn't how Wikipedia works—no disrespect intended. Only what is supported by reliable sources can be inserted into Wikipedia. Read the verifiability policy for further details. If this policy didn't exist, anyone could say that they personally knew lead singers and such, and insert whatever they wanted into articles. House music piping

I noticed you've peen piping house music as house-music. House music is not a single word, it doesn't require a hyphen, "house" is an adjective referring to style. When a style of music is used as an adjective, it requires hyphens: “Legendary house-music producer Marhsall Jefferson returned after a 10-year absence from the music industry.” When it is used as a noun, it doesn’t take a hyphen: “Many people like to dance to house music. House music is a feeling.” I hope this clears up why I’ve been doing what I’m doing. I suggest you look at The Chicago Manual of Style for further clarification.

I don't know what the Chicago Manual of Style is, but I know what the English language is. Hyphens are for compost words. House-music does not exist as a compost noun. Re-issue of Mantronix: The Album or New Compilation Album?

I was going to draft a new article on the 2008 Mantronix compilation album until I ran across your edit on The Album. Do you really look at it as a re-issue? I think it would be better as a compilation album, especially since it really doesn't track ALL of the listings on The Album, + there is a previously unreleased track on the new album. I saw your comment on Afrocentrism - fair enough. Deciding on who is radical and who is classical and who is middle-of-the-road is a tough call. Different people have different views - the definitions here have been a problem all along. I don't know which edits you refer to, but if I removed anything, it was not my intention. Wikipedia is not based on opinion. The styles you removed were sourced, not to mention the album specifics on Instrumentalyst. Multiple sources refer to these albums as alternative and underground hip hop, as well as trip hop. Hi, concerning something

I looked through and I saw that you put in most of your articles Def Jam/IDJMG/Universal Records, physically that's incorrect since Def Jam is a label in it's own right, IDJMG is the parent compant and saying that it's distributed by Universal Records, which, BTW, links to Universal Music Group even though there is a seperate label with that name is incorrect since it says on their page that they're self-distributed. On most of these pages, only the name of the label, which it released it on is OK, not this Def Jam/IDJMG/Universal Records stuff, I also see that you did the same thing using the Record Label/Distributing Label/Parent Label stuff, especially Priority/EMI. Personally I think it doesn't make any sense, but I just wanted to share my opinion on this. Also I don't like that you use the term records by putting it at the end of something like PolyGram Records, first of all, it wasn't a label—it was a music group that distributed other labels releases. --Taylor Karras (talk) 11:05, 8 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This comes from MTV back in the days. And PolyGram was a record label, one of the big-six majors before 1999. Most of its releases had copyright attributed to PolyGram Records Inc. Yosef Ben-Jochannan

How is the article non-neutral POV? You don't say how it's biased against Dr. Ben's work. Many believe his work to be true but many do not. Both views were represented. Citations have been deleted. That article has been vandalized so badly that it currently has no citations. I intend to restore all the citations and completely revamp the article. Mantronik/Mantronix edits

I appreciate the edits you did on the Kurtis Mantronik and Mantronix pages, but several of the edits corrected direct quotes (with sources duly cited). I didn't revert them, because I wanted to get your feedback first. Maybe "sic" notations are in order? That’s why I used brackets in certain places. I didn’t change the grammar of any of the quotations, but I did change the punctuation in order for it to conform with standard written English. According to Template:Infobox album, only the record label that the album was originally released on should be specified in the infobox; record labels from other countries are mentioned in the release history section. Atlantic Records

Virgin Records was never a subsidiary of Atlantic Records. Rather, Virgin had an on-off US distribution deal with Atlantic—which is not the same thing as being a subsidiary—from 1973-1992. Virgin remained an independent label until it was acquired by Thorn EMI in 1992. Because the labels still had a relationship, I saw no immediately compelling reason to revert your edit. "Jam on Revenge"

Hi - I've spoken to the article's other main editor Andrzejbanas about this before, but I think this should be renamed "Jam On Revenge", because I think it means "the revenge of Jam On Productions" and not "fruit preserve upon vengeance". I'm pretty certain that Jam On is being used as a phrasal verb here as "keep on jamming" (which would make much more sense) and therefore the particle should be capitalized.
