Multi-licensed with the Creative Commons Attribution Share-Alike License versions 1.0 and 2.0
I agree to multi-license my text contributions, unless otherwise stated, under Wikipedia's copyright terms and the Creative Commons Attribution Share-Alike license version 1.0 and version 2.0. Please be aware that other contributors might not do the same, so if you want to use my contributions under the Creative Commons terms, please check the CC dual-license and Multi-licensing guides.
Article Licensing
Hi, I've started a drive to get users to multi-license all of their contributions that they've made to either (1) all U.S. state, county, and city articles or (2) all articles, using the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike (CC-by-sa) v1.0 and v2.0 Licenses or into the public domain if they prefer. The CC-by-sa license is a true free documentation license that is similar to Wikipedia's license, the GFDL, but it allows other projects, such as WikiTravel, to use our articles. Since you are among the top 2000 Wikipedians by edits, I was wondering if you would be willing to multi-license all of your contributions or at minimum those on the geographic articles. Over 90% of people asked have agreed. For More Information:
To allow us to track those users who muli-license their contributions, many users copy and paste the "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" template into their user page, but there are other options at Template messages/User namespace. The following examples could also copied and pasted into your user page:
Option 1
I agree to multi-license all my contributions, with the exception of my user pages, as described below:
DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual
OR
Option 2
I agree to multi-license all my contributions to any U.S. state, county, or city article as described below:
DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual
Or if you wanted to place your work into the public domain, you could replace "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" with "MultiLicensePD". If you only prefer using the GFDL, I would like to know that too. Please let me know what you think at my talk page. It's important to know either way so no one keeps asking. -- Ram-Man (comment| talk)
Instrumental songs in song lists
I noticed that you re-added the song "New Orleans Instrumental No.1" by R.E.M. to the List of songs whose title includes geographical names. I have once again removed it, as discussed in my December 18, 2004 update of "Major article reorganization" on the talk page, because it has been the general practice of these song lists (at least the ones I've been monitoring) to not include instrumental songs, on the basis that there is no singing. You may not agree with this; I myself am not sure this is necessarily the best practice. However, it is the accepted practice. If you wish to bring it up as a policy that should be changed, please post a new topic to the talk page so it can be discussed further by the users of this list. Thank you for your cooperation. — Jeff Q 07:09, 6 Jan 2005 (UTC)
Internet vs. internet
Excellent work on the James Bond 21 article earlier today. However, Internet is supposed to be capitalized, especially when used in the context of "the Internet" since there is only one. If you check the Internet article, there is a rationale given for this in the introduction (it's also capitalized in the Oxford dictionary). Cheers! 23skidoo 18:02, 30 Jan 2005 (UTC)
What's with all the articles on these Welsh rocks? Do they have any kind of significance? Roughly how large are they? Everyking 13:37, 28 Feb 2005 (UTC)
Well, I don't have any problem with the articles provided there is something to actually say about these rocks, besides where they are and the fact that they are rocks. If not, it would probably be better to merge them into one article, maybe in a list format. Everyking 14:22, 28 Feb 2005 (UTC)

Hello. Please remember to always provide an edit summary. Thanks and happy edits. Alphaxτεχ 13:35, 5 Jun 2005 (UTC)
I noticed you did a little cleanup of this article. A google test(pick a random phrase, search in quotes on google) quickly identifies it as a copyvio. If you check for copyvios before cleaning up a page, it will save you from wasted work. Thanks for all your contributions to Wikipedia! JesseW22:09, 5 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
C&C "Mammoth Tank" page
I dont know if you´re the original creator of the article, so maybe I am not asking at the right place, but does that long story fall under canon or fanon? If it´s the latter, maybe it should be placed under a subcategory of "Attempts to link the storylines in the Tiberian and Red Alert game
series"
I hereby award this Minor Barnstar to Martpol. Minor edits are often-overlooked, but essential, contributions to the Wikipedia. This Minor Barnstar is awarded for making many minor edits of the utmost quality. It does not imply that major contributions have not been made as well. (KC)
I've added a section in the Typo page that may interest you. It's about using Autowikibrowser to fix typos quickly and it's semi-automated. You should look into it, considering you make a ton of typo fixes, unless you're using a tool of your own. Let me know if you have questions. GfloresTalk17:08, 10 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Image:Patio small.JPG listed for deletion
An image or media file that you uploaded, Image:Patio small.JPG, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please look there to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you.
I noticed that you appeared in the edit history of the justification (theology) article. I recently made major changes to the article in an effort to move it to NPOV. If you have any suggestions for improvement (style, content, whatever), please leave a comment on the talk page for that article. The goal is to get the article to the point that the POV and cleanup templates can be removed.
Hello! If you are receiving this message, that means that your user page is in a specific year category. Per a recent user-category per deletion, all specific year categories are to be deleted. If you wish to continue using year categories, you have two options:
If you wish, you may do both. Hopefully, this change in categorization will be quick and painless. Happy editing! --An automated message from MessedRobot12:46, 9 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hi. When you uploaded Image:Patio medium.JPG, you did not specify complete source and copyright information. Another user subsequently tagged it with GFDL-presumed and, for some time, it has existed on Wikipedia under the assumption that you created the image and you agreed to license it under the GFDL. This assumption, however well-meaning, is not legally sufficient and the tag is being phased out. Images using it are being deleted.
This image has been tagged for deletion and will be deleted in one week if adequate copyright information is not provided.
If you, personally, are the author of this content, meaning that you took the photograph yourself or you created the chart yourself (and it does not use any clipart that you did not create), please retag the image with a free image copyright tag that correctly describes your licensing intentions, usually GFDL-self or PD-self. Please also make sure if you have not already done so that you write a good description of what the image depicts, when you took the photo, and other important details. This will allow Wikipedia to continue using the image.
If you did not create the image or if it is derived from the copyrighted works of others, please keep in mind that most images on the internet are copyrighted and are not suitable for use on Wikipedia. Wikipedia respects the copyrights of others and does not use images unless we know that they have been freely licensed. Any creative work is automatically copyrighted, even if it lacks a copyright notice. Unless the copyright holder has specifically disclaimed their rights to the image and released it under the GFDL or another compatible license, we cannot use it. If you did not create the image, and cannot make the image compliant with Wikipedia:Non-free content, simply do nothing and it will be deleted in a week. All other non-free images must follow these rules.
Dear Martpol, when you create a new article, please consider adding verifiable sources (that pass muster according to WP:N)--plenty of sources for Cocodirect were easily found. Thank you. Drmies (talk) 17:43, 14 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Fair enough... but do note that I created that article 4 years ago, when pretty much a newbie, and since then I have focused almost entirely on editing! Martpol (talk) 18:47, 22 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Château Impney
Hi! A WikiProject Worcestershire has now been created to better manage all articles that relate in any way to the county even if they overlap with other categories or projects. Please visit the project pages and if you see listed any articles you have written or contributed to, or if you would like to see more active development of them, don't hesitate to join the project.
An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Zafira (person). We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Zafira (person). Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.
Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:16, 19 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Epeefleche (talk) 06:38, 6 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
In the Night Garden
Hi Martpol. Looks like we were editing that page at the same time. I'm not sure whether the page benefits from the detail about which particular species of bird is featured, which was why I chopped the description slightly. In the general scheme of things, it's not Earth-shattering either way so I'm not about to get into an edit war: however, the Shaft-tailed Finch is synonymous with the Long-tailed Finch, which has its own WP page: any objection to me changing it back? All the best, ~dom Kaos~ (talk)
Hi there. Sorry about that, I thought I'd included all your changes when checki back through. No problem at all with you changing it back.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of Dhruva comics, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page One shot (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
