LCM Edit-a-thonI'm also in Seattle! Love the Living Computer Museum. I would very much enjoy participating in an edit-a-thon; it's been a while since I really sat down and properly researched & wrote a full article on something. You've been adding lots of video game articles to the Retrogaming category, all of which are already in categories for years in the 1970s or 1980s. I'm not sure why you feel the year isn't enough to identify older games, but it comes across as a redundant category to me. "Retro" is also a personal concept, and there are lots of people who think of MS-DOS games from the late 1990s as retro, for example, or Game Cube games. Dgpop (talk) 13:26, 30 August 2016 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Category:RetrogamingA tag has been placed on Category:Retrogaming requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason: Retrogaming is "the playing or collecting of older personal computer, console, and arcade video games in contemporary times". Categorizing games that are played/collected as retrogaming is not a defining characterstic of those games, and is highly WP:OR/WP:POV.
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, pages that meet certain criteria may be deleted at any time. If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. soetermans. ↑↑↓↓←→←→ B A TALK 18:08, 30 August 2016 (UTC) Category:Retrogaming has been nominated for discussionCategory:Retrogaming, which you created, has been nominated for possible deletion, merging, or renaming.
