Removed speedy deletion tag: MWH GlobalHi Lord Pistachio! I just wanted to inform you that I removed the speedy deletion tag you placed on MWH Global- because: Article can be fixed; it is better to just remove the advertising content than delete the article entirely. If you have any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to contact me. decltype (talk) 05:58, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
Indiana State Road 135In reference to the undoing of my addition: Isn't it still worth mentioning what I said, since it's still the same road? Is that not relevant? Even just between Co. Line and 465, it's still considered "Meridian Street" as much as it is "State Road 135". Thoughts? Two in a row! You, my friend, have reverted two of my unconstructive edits (to the articles toothpaste and Barney Frank, respectively) in a row. Kudos! Because of your dual actions at outsmarting me, I pledge to you that I will now leave Wikipedia and engage in some sort of other activity on the Internet. You will not hear from me again, and, once again, my sincerest congratulations to you. Please could you confirm you agree with my changes and I will undo your "edit". Someone seems to have put some offensive materials in the National Lottery page under my username. How can this be? Thank you for removing these. Please reply me soon. Burnyouwithmycandle (talk) 20:51, 20 May 2010 (UTC) ThanksFor the revert on my user page. The IP editor is a sockpuppet for a spammer whose site I got blacklisted, I've already reported him as such. Ian.thomson (talk) Re:Recycling PhotosWell, I'm placing them there because it's either there or in irrelevant text. I COULD make a recycling section to that article but I'm not sure how much there would be to write for a single photo. So to make it simplier I just add it to a gallery where later other photos may be added to fill it up. On the Slovenia one, the photo didn't have a exact location, so I just added it to the country. EDIT: Hmm, I see your point now, to not add something so trivial to an entire country. Okay, my apologies. SwisterTwister (talk) 22:06, 2 June 2010 (UTC) So from reading your latest reply, what you're saying is not only off-limits on countries but cities as well? SwisterTwister (talk) 22:14, 2 June 2010 (UTC) Okay, for a second there I thought you also meant cities as well. Well, in the future I will only post photos that have a specific location, thanks for explaining it to me! I have been trying to explain to SwisterTwister (talk · contribs) that adding images of recycling bins is unhelpful, as is trawling through Commons and adding barely relevant images to random articles. In the course of this, I have quoted what you have said to this user, but would like to make sure I have not misunderstood your words. If you would like to, please take a look at the discussion. I am just informing you that I have changed a page you tagged (List of songs that frequently use the word "ye") from being tagged for speedy deletion to being tagged for proposed deletion. The speedy deletion criteria are very narrow to protect the encyclopedia, and do not fit the page in question. Please review the criteria for speedy deletion before tagging further pages. If you have any questions or problems, please let me know. Thanks again! Speedy deletion declined: Stamped asphaltHello Lord Pistachio, and thanks for patrolling new pages! I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Stamped asphalt, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Not unambiguously promotional. You may wish to review the Criteria for Speedy Deletion before tagging further pages. Thank you. Hi, I can do this and will do at some time, I created it a long time ago and can source more material now Mustardwilleywandererscc (talk) 11:52, 14 April 2022 (UTC) You are now a ReviewerHello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged revisions, underwent a two-month trial which ended on 15 August 2010. Its continued use is still being discussed by the community, you are free to participate in such discussions. Many articles still have pending changes protection applied, however, and the ability to review pending changes continues to be of use. Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under level 1 pending changes and edits made by non-reviewers to level 2 pending changes protected articles (usually high traffic articles). Pending changes was applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages. For the guideline on reviewing, see Wikipedia:Reviewing. Being granted reviewer rights doesn't grant you status nor change how you can edit articles even with pending changes. The general help page on pending changes can be found here, and the general policy for the trial can be found here. If you do not want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles 05:12, 15 November 2010 (UTC) CapitalizationGreetings! With this recent edit you changed "counties" to "Counties" in cases like "Jackson and Jefferson counties". I had understood that in this situation, the word "counties" should not be capitalized, but I have not found anything definitive in the Wikipedia Manual of Style and am checking other sources; however, I was wondering how you made a decision on this. It is an issue that has been discussed before, and there were points made on both sides... Thanks! Omnedon (talk) 19:23, 29 November 2010 (UTC)
Butler University - Disciples of ChristI noticed you reverted my change on the Butler page. I changed the line from "Butler University was founded by members of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)" to "Butler University was founded by members of the Disciples of Christ". This change had been discussed for several weeks in the discussion area. The Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) may have descended from the Disciples of Christ but when the school was founded the current Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) denomination did not exist. It was not formed until 1968. When the school was founded it was church was known simply as the Disciples of Christ and from a historical viewpoint is much more accurate statement. Would you explain the reason for the reversion? Thank You Llorracsemaj (talk) 00:04, 8 March 2011 (UTC) LLorracsemaj I have added additional documentation to the Discussion area supporting my change. Please do not revert without documenting the justification. Thank You Llorracsemaj (talk) 13:07, 12 March 2011 (UTC) Children's Museum backstage pass

Hi, Wikipedia:WikiProject United States/The 50,000 Challenge
--MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 02:37, 8 November 2016 (UTC) New deal for page patrollersHi Lord Pistachio, In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created. Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work. Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
