Duarte Barbosa and other POVThe pro-Thiyya, anti-Nair sockpuppets are using Wikipedia as a platform for casteist propaganda. Duarte Barbosa makes no mention of Thiyyas—this is a fabricated claim added by these accounts. Earlier, these socks attempted to remove the content altogether. However, realizing its removal was unlikely, they shifted strategy, now attempting to insert Thiyya alongside Nair. Trying to rewrite history? By restoring their edits, you inadvertently validate historically inaccurate claims and allow these accounts to exploit you as a tool for their agenda. Additionally, the content citing Hendrik van Rheede mentioning Chekavar fails verification against the given source. Furthermore, Wikipedia editors are not permitted to independently interpret historical sources, such as equating terms like siligos with Chekavar and fencing with kalaripayattu. This constitutes original research. Interpretations of historical texts must come from reliable third-party sources, such as historians or scholars, whose work can be cited. In the case of Barbosa, multiple scholars have already interpreted his writings as pertaining to Kalaripayattu. 117.230.83.75 (talk) 13:27, 28 November 2024 (UTC) |
