Hi. Yes before, when I was only recording Yushos, the tables looked very small and unattractive, most especially for rikishi with few yusho, so I blew them up. Thanks for the barnstar! The tables don't seem that prodigous to me, but having said that: any tables that you see that looks "overblown", feel free to try "deflating" them. I had a few hours before I had to go back to, hohum, work and Kaiketsu's additions reminded me I had been thinking of adding makushita tsukedashi to the basho table. I have made that addition, which can be seen in Kaihō Ryōji's article. I don't like things being added without a way for a newbie to know what it means, so I linked it. Though this would be the first link inside a basho box that we have, I would like some way to explain it. It seems it is rare enough that a separate note in the bottom of every basho table seems overdone. But I am willing to listen to opinions. I was thinking the same could be done for banzukegai (as opposed to another color). I saw some discussion of "shinjo" above. This could be added with little trouble I think, though I would like to hear more discussion of what it is. I assume it is a previous type of maezumo? BTW, I would have put this up in the sumo wikiproject, but I figured it would garner more attention here. I like your addition of the makushita tsukedeshi explanation – as you say, most articles will not have it so it makes sense to just put a link in when it appears. Incidentally FourTildes I wonder if you've noticed that Kaiketsu has removed the PP and PPPs to indicate three and four way playoffs, as he believes it is confusing. Do you have an opinion on that? It's added, I went back as far as I could for any wrestlers that have articles. Yes, I did like the multiple P system that went through by consensus, but I figured Kaiketsu is making enough great contributions that I didn't want to look a gift horse in the mouth.
Shinjo has been added, and I see you are using it Kaiketsu, it links to the Glossary of sumo terms, which right now has no definition for what Shinjo is (I looked on a few online sumo glossaries, but they were a bit vague). Also, Pawnkingthree and I have added several of the rikishi articles you have created to the List of past sumo wrestlers but you are so productive it is hard to keep up. If you have the time, could you also add them as well? Actually I don't mind doing my part by adding them, but I haven't found the time recently. :) As you haven't been around in a little while, I am Malnova, who originally suggested the tourney table etc. I have just changed my handle to FourTildes. Rikishi article updates

Hey, just in case you didn't see my message elsewhere: When you add any new information to a wrestler's article could you also add an update date (month and date) to the infobox. This will help us keep better track of which rikishi articles haven't seen much attention in a while. Just using it for the infobox is not nearly as useful because for many bread and butter rikishi their tables change very rarely even as their bios etc. slowly get information added. I realize in most cases you are tweaking articles more than adding as much new information (something which is highly appreciated by the way - example: you are the only one who is more of a stickler for diacritics than even me!) You also often add info to a lot of retired rikishi articles (also appreciated). Question regarding edits on Tony Currenti's page

Hi, I have a question regarding your edits on Tony Currenti page. I understand that Tony/Currenti substitute as it is making the article more formal. Also a deletion of couple of wiki links makes sense because they are already mentioned there and it was repetitive. But I don't understand why you deleted the YouTube link to Join Together cover song by Grapevine. It shows the high level of the subject's musicianship and as far as I am concerned it does justice to The Who's original (personally, I love both versions but prefer this one as it has got that typical Australian rock signature all over it). I think that people appreciate when they can listen/watch to what they just read about - especially when it is something that is rare and not easy to find. Rallycross

Hallå där, I wasn't busy in Wikipedia for a couple of years, due to lack of time. Will have some more time in the future. Saw that you do improvements of articles related to Rallycross. As I'm not fit with these statistic frames I wonder if you could ad some info in there. I've already added for three 1992 ERC rounds a "SUS" (for suspended) into the Schanche list, but that was rather easy as the white background remained. My plan is to ad some more abbreviations for those events that don't give info on taking part without scoring points yet. Any idea of how to find the right tags (maybe RET for retired, DNF for did not finish, DNS for did not start [Ireland in 1996], etc.)? Hälsningar från Tyskland! For starters I would avoid using RET and DNF for rallycross, since it's not a single race format, like an F1 GP for example. I've used NC (Not Classified) instead, with the no-score background color. As for DNS, it's applicable if the driver entered the competition (i.e. was physically present, but did enter a single heat, except qualifying). As far as suspensions go, it's not used at all. Look at the pages of Romain Grosjean (suspended for the Italian GP 2012) or Franck Montagny (suspended for two years from March 2014). Kaiketsu (talk) 22:14, 3 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
As far as I can see you've used the lists I produced for Frank Van Rooy's 'History' pages on Rallycross Online to get the information for Wikipedia. But with their point system and the "0" for taking part and scoring no points (we did this only from 1988 on, while "--" stands for DNS there), the NC for Not Classified is all but perfect. NC is only fine when the driver has not completed the two necessary qualifying heats for to enter the finals or to get at least included in the final results. Therefore, I've tried to find the correct final placings for Schanche and Hansen. However, this is very difficult even for me when it comes to the ERC years 1973 till 1977, as I've started travelling to all ERC rounds in 1978 and collected all info myself. In Rallycross an entrant becomes a starter after passing technical scrutineering. The reason why I used DNS only when the driver was accepted for the event. As, for example, Martin Schanche was in Ireland in 1996, but left on Friday evening after blowing up his engine, I used also the DNS for this round, while pointing out in his right hand frame "232 of 233 attended". About the 1992 suspension of Schanche: Info like SUS is maybe not used elsewhere in motorsport articles of Wikipedia, but not forbidden to include. BTW, I was invited by Per-Inge Walfridsson in 1979 to his home at Lekvattnet near Torsby. Back then I wondered why his Volvo 343 Turbo had sometimes name stickers with only one s and sometimes with two s. He said that it would not matter a lot in Sweden, but the correct spelling would be with two ss. However, nowadays he is the only of the three brothers to write Walfridsson, while Lars-Erik and Stig-Olov use Walfridson on Facebook and elsewhere. Same for Lukas and some others of the clan. I wonder how we should write their names in Wikipedia. I myself prefer two s, as I understood that this is the correct way for all Swedish names ending with son, while the one s version is rather preferred by Americans with Swedish roots... WikiCommons constant Bakkerud uploads

An Andreas Bakkerud fan appears to be uploading copious amounts of Bakkerud images into World RX Commons pages at the expense of other drivers. As I'm not able to access the sites they are using (they seem to all be Swedish/Norwegian and for some reason my internet or computer - unsure which - doesn't like them), could you possibly direct me to some sites that would allow me to upload uncopyrighted images of other drivers so we can add some variety to the event articles? It's me that has been uploading the images. Most (if not all) of the images comes from a site called Mynewsdesk. Mynewsdesk (a Swedish-Norwegian company) is a PR-platform, where companies and organisations have their PR-releases, news, images, videos etc. So Peugeot Sweden, Volkswagen Sweden, Ford Sweden, Ford Finland (where all of the Joni Wiman images are from) etc. have accounts or "press rooms" on the site.
The companies can decided themselves what kind a licence they wanna use for their material. It's either © All rights reserved (not ok on Commons), Attribution-NoDerivs 3.0 Unported (CC BY-ND 3.0) (not ok on Commons) and Attribution 3.0 Unported (CC BY 3.0) (ok on Commons). The reason that there are so many images of Bakkerud (I'm not a fan I might add) and of the various VW drivers and cars is that Bakkerud (who has an account himself on Mynewsdesk) and Volkswagen Sweden use the CC BY 3.0 licence. There are a motherload of images from Hansen Motorsport, via Peugeot Sweden, but we can't use 'em, since Peugeot Sweden has elected to use the CC BY-ND 3.0 licence.

Just wondering why you changed the infobox/lede image of Greg LeMond to a 2012 headshot, without even discussing it on the talk page, when such a discussion (which included User:Gunbirddriver exists and is right there in plain sight: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Greg_LeMond#Lead_Image_-_old-looking_GL_from_2009_or_a_nice_pic_of_him_as_a_racer_in_his_heyday.3F_.28Oct._2014.29. Please don't force thumbnail images, or any other image for that matter, to a particular size unless there is a good and specified reason for doing so. If you personally prefer your thumbnail images smaller you can set that under the "Appearance" tab on your "Preferences" page. Settling VW once and for all

The inclusion of 'PSRX' in these articles is incorrect. Firstly, there is a rule in Wiki called WP:COMMONNAME - stating that the common name of something must be used over it's official name; for example, Czechia and the Czech Republic. If you require further proof, a statement issued by VW Motorsport today said: "Great debut by the Volkswagen supported PSRX team...", thereby confirming that Solberg is the license holder - and this is not the correct use of name as I have used the example many times in edit summaries, which if you've bothered to read them you'll know this already, that the Holden Racing Team in V8 Supercars was not called Skaife Sports Pty Ltd when Mark Skaife owned the team. Another example of such an incorrect use of name is EKS Performance AB - a handy hint here is that 'AB' and 'Pty Ltd' are both business terms, much like 'N.V.' is or 'S.p.A' used to be in Ferrari's name. You've done a lot of good work for these articles up until now, however if we have to have this argument again just take this as a reminder that there are consequences for what would be actions of edit warring. It's how they present themselves. Now, if you watched the broadcast, you saw that the team was referred to as PSRX Volkswagen Sweden. Hell, it even says the same on their race suits. Same goes for the FIA entry lists. Though I know that the entry lists are a bit inconsistent with the names of the teams. The name reflects that Solberg has taken over the team from KMS (Kristoffersson Motorsport) with VW factory support. And no, we will not call the team PS 110% AB, the Solberg company that owns it, which would be the equivalent of Skaife Sports / Holden Racing.
The fact that VW emphasizes their brand first, before PSRX in their press releases, is of course a marketing tool. I would do the same if say "Kaiketsu Biscuits" was the sponsor. "Great debut by the Kaiketsu Biscuits supported PSRX team..." And while we're at it, why not revert the name of Force India F1 Team back to Jordan GP? Since that was the most famous period in the team's history. Nevermind that a couple of other people bought and sold the team between 2005 and 2008.
Bolagsverket would have the answer as to what the company domain is, however it must recognise that I am a foreign IP as it won't let me access data without payment. As for the marketing tool stuff, it's not quite the same as Jordan/Force India seeing as a) KMS still has a part ownership in the team and b) we don't name teams purely off 'periods of success', just common names. When it comes to support, from what we've seen with Hyundai in WRC two separate entities can co-exist, and seeing VW's current state following diesel-gate I can imagine that if anything they'd be distancing themselves from the image rallycross projects. I was being ironic (if it didn't show) regarding Jordan/Force India, since you brought up the WP:COMMONNAME policy. As for VW distancing themselves from the rallycross project, that's nonsense. The factory support for PSRX came long after the emissions scandal broke. Head of VW Motorsport Sven Smeets doesn't agree with you:
"VW motorsport director Sven Smeets said a greater RX focus for the firm "ties in with our future objectives" after its WRC exit." Autosport
The reason I brought up PS 110% AB is beacue that is the contact information given on the PSRX VW official website. The HQ of the team is now at his base in Torsby, not a the KMS base in Arvika. It's clear that he runs the team and that the whole of the team refers to itself as one entity and one name (PSRX Volkswagen Sweden). If it was two seperate teams under one banner, it would've been noticeable. Like for example Timerzyanov running the seperate Namus entry under the OMSE banner.
Again, watch the broadcast from Barcelona, IMG and the FIA refers to the team as PSRX Volkswagen Sweden, that should be the ultimate proof if anything. If Solberg owns the team outright or not, well I could try to find that out.

I'm standing by the initial comment about COMMONNAME - the Czechia/Czech Republic naming is the standard for most of these 'arguments', which is also the reason why WRX Austria needs to be reverted to it's initial form as well. The use of 'Namus OMSE' is/was not correct to include as, I have already stated, we don't use these types of names - in this case sponsor arrangements, hence the removal of all-inkl.com from Münnich Motorsport's entry - unless we absolutely have to, e.g. Guy Wilks 2017 entry (we don't use names of drivers as entrants if we can help it as a general rule, an exception being a team like Hervé Lemonnier's that has been around for 50 years we don't change just because he's decided that for a single season). Also, regarding your information on the teams' supposed shift - the Torsby mention regarded the Citroën run in the 2014 season, according to the 'Living the Dream' article it states both drivers currently live in Arvika, and with Torsby over an hours' drive away (according to Google Maps) it wouldn't make sense for production to be moved - further proving KMS' involvement remains. Solberg doesn't live in Arvika, he lives in Mitandersfors (which is in Arvika Municipality). Kristoffersson lives in Arvika though and yes PSRX are based in Torsby. If you care to read the VW press releases, they clearly state that the team's base is in Torsby.

Even though the common name is Ferrari (or Scuderia Ferrari, to seperate the team from the road car division), they've entered under different names during the years, highligting their sponsors. That is reflected in the result tables and season articles, just like the rest of the F1 teams (e.g. "West McLaren Mercedes" etc.). So we agree that you are wrong and I'm gonna start overhauling the pages (again). It's your decision to leave or stay, I have no idea what that has to do with me or why you even bring it up. Heidi Weng's podiums

I appreciated your work of adding all podiums that Heidi Weng has reached in her career to the page. Considering she has 81 podiums and she's only 26, we can estimate that her podium results wil become around 150 at the end of her career and if we add all podium results of her, that will result a really long list. I want to offer to add only her victories to the page not podiums, like in the case of Therese Johaug or the alpine racers like Marcel Hirscher, Ingemar Stenmark, Lindsey Vonn etc.

Team podiums

Hi. For the accurracy of the "team podiums" tables, I suggests you to look the website skisport365.com when you add the podium results for team races for the atletes that compete before 2001 because there is no results available for team races prior to 2001 in FIS database.

I also noticed that you changed all podium results like 30 km F Mass Start or 10 km C Individual (pursuit, skiathlon etc..) in almost every skier's page to 30 km Mass Start F, 10 km Individulal C. Those races (except sprints) are given in FIS database and in annual cross-country World Cup pages in Wikipedia (see. 2017–18 FIS Cross-Country World Cup etc..) in the former format (i.e. 30 km F Mass Start). I suggest that we should use that format.

Hello again. May I ask you how do you access those World Cup relay results of Gunde Svan and Thomas Wassberg that you added to their team podiums table. We can use that source to fill the missing relay races in the annual World Cup pages of the 80s and 90s. And I also suggest that World Championship (till '99) and Olympic podiums (till '94) should also be added to the table since they are also World Cup races. Thanks.

Anders Bergström

A few years ago, you added Olympic results to the page Anders Bergström (cross-country skier). What is your source for the statement that Bergström competed in the 1992 Winter Olympics? If you look at the official results from IOC, there is no Bergström. If you look at the athlete information from the Swedish olympic committee, they are clear: he competed in two games, 94 and 98, not in 92. Thanks for your edit suggestions. I will try to improve upon the written material over there. But I have just one request that you should go through 'signature style' of painters and artists, especially in this contemporary age, the word 'signature' has become the defining point of many-a-artists or anyone who wants to survive and grow and get recognition in the art field. The greats of contemporary art, moreover, in the field of abstract art (e.g. The New York School of Art) are recognized from their 'Heavy Impasto', 'No-Environment', 'Expressionism' 'Surrealism' and many other such phrases which were coined by art critics and art aficionados alike. These terms are not for the flattery or for over-the-top explanation of an artist but to understand his or her form in a lucid and better way.

While the comment on the nature of writing and the approaches taken in the arguments presented in the wiki of Willem de Kooning might be subjective but my request to you is to look into this particular and interesting segment of Art Wiki. Meanwhile, I request you to Please find below few more examples from other artists. There might be shortcomings in the text but the intent is to enrich art wikipedia which I still feel is filled with stubby articles. A help or guidance would be appreciated.

Signature Style[edit]

Hilma Af Klint's later period abstract art (1906-1920) delved into symbolism with a combination of geometry, figuration, scientific research and religious practices. Her studies of organic growth, including shells and flowers, helped her portray life through a spiritual lens.

Her individual or signature style was also marked with impressions from the late 19th and early 20th century scientific discoveries as also influenced by contemporary spiritual movements such as theosophy and anthrosophy too. The idea to transcend the physical world and the constraints of representational art is visible in her abstract paintings.  

Her symbolic visual language has an ordered progression that reflects her understanding of grids, circles, spirals and petal-like forms--sometimes diagrammatic, sometimes biomorphic. Her paintings also explored dichotomy of the world.

Spiral forms appear often in her art, as they do in the automatic drawings by De Fem. While every such geometric form, in this case, Spiral suggests growth, progress and evolution, color choices also are metaphorical in nature.

As one of the Proto-Feminist Artists, her style represents the sublime in the art.

Signature style[edit]

Wassily Kandinsky's art has a confluence of music and spirituality. With his appreciation for music of his times and kinesthetic disposition, Kandinsky's artworks have a marked style of expressionism in his early years. But he embraced all types of artistic styles of his times and his predecessors i.e. Art Nouveau (sinuous organic forms), Fauvism and Blaue Reiter (shocking colours), Surrealism (mystery) and Bauhaus (constructivism) only to move towards abstractionism as he explored spirituality in art. His object-free paintings display spiritual abstraction suggested by sounds and emotions through a unity of sensation. Driven by the Christian faith and the inner necessity of an artist, his paintings have the ambiguity of the form rendered in a variety of colours as well as resistance against conventional aesthetic values of the art world.

His signature or individual style can be further defined and divided into three categories over the course of his art career: Impressions (representational element), Improvisations (spontaneous emotional reaction), Compositions (ultimate works of art).[citation needed]

As Kandinsky started moving away from his early inspiration from Impressionism, his paintings became more vibrant, pictographic and expressive with more sharp shapes and clear linear qualities.

But eventually, Kandinsky went further rejecting pictorial representation with more synesthetic swirling hurricanes of colours and shapes, eliminating traditional references to depth and laid-baring different abstracted glyphs, But what remained consistent was his spiritual pursuits of expressions and references to his Christian faith.[citation needed]

Emotional harmony is another salient feature in the later works of Kandinsky. With diverse dimensions and bright hues balanced through a careful juxtaposition of proportion and colours, he substantiated the universality of shapes in his artworks thus paving the way for further abstraction.

Wassily Kandinsky often used black in his paintings to heighten the impact of brightly coloured forms while his forms were often biomorphic approaches to bring surrealism in his art.

Your edits as to italics and German words

Note: when adding or making edits to articles. Remember, SS is only the initials for Schutzstaffel, the German organization name. Therefore, you do not put SS in italics. For example, an SS rank should be shown as SS-Obergruppenführer, not SS-Obergruppenführer. Obergruppenführer is the foreign loan word; SS is not a word. One is to use italics for phrases in other languages and for isolated foreign words that are not currently used in English, per WP:MOS and MOS:TEXT. I don't want to have to go around and keep correcting these errors. Also, note that abbreviations of German organizations, such as Gestapo and Kipo are examples that should not be in italics, for the same reasons as stated above. Heidi Weng podiums

Heidi Weng has 100 World Cup podiums in her career. Unfortunately FIS database shows her podiums as 101 by mistake because as for now they accidentally counts her 4th place finish in Nove Mesto pursuit on 19 December 2020 as a podium. The reason of the mistake is that Weng achieved 3rd fastest track time in the race but the thing is that only the classification of the "tour-ending pursuits" (last stage of Tour de Ski, Nordic Opening etc.) are made according to athletes' fastest track times. Because in tour-ending pursuits there are two victories awarded: One for fastest stage time, and one for the tour overall. On the other hand, mid-tour pursuits or regular World Cup pursuits are about who cross the finish line 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc. The Nove Mesto Pursuit on 19 January 2020 is not a tour-ending pursuit, hence Weng did not make the podium. You're enforcing the rules, so I assume you're doing what you're suppose to. So my position is:
1. I broke a rule.
2. I'll accept the punishment
3. It won't happen again. I had good run of 16 years before I crossed the line.

Actually, I used to be a moderator on a big Swedish forum for ten years. We used to kick out people for a week for breaking the rules for the first time. Let me be very clear here: no one has a problem with you saying fuck. We do have a problem with you responding to a deletion notice by saying Stick to patrolling women without hijabs instead, death cult lover. Your further refusal to acknowledge your own actions in response to Edward-Woodrow's questions is further appalling, and in some ways even more concerning than the initial outburst. Hi Kaiketsu, you're a valued member of WikiProject Sumo and I do hope to see you back. I'm not entirely sure you are aware that your block is indefinite, so it will not expire unless you make an unblock request and convince an admin that the block is no longer necessary. It's not really a question of taking the punishment (blocks are not supposed to be punitive), more than you can demonstrate an understanding of why you were blocked and why it will not be repeated.
