I agree with the message you recently received from Escape Orbit that this whole subject is really more suitable for wikiHow, as it is more in the nature of a technical manual than a Wikipedia article. (Maybe I should have suggested this in the first place, but I didn't realise how technical it was going to be.)

You cannot have an 'index page', as Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a website. (It doesn't have 'members' either, just editors and readers.)

If you want to use your own diagrams you will have to upload them to Wikipedia Commons [1] first and declare that you own the copyright. You cannot place a link to any diagram or picture that is on another site (like photobucket) into an article, as you have been doing. If you do this, they will continue to be deleted.

I really think you should read thoroughly the Welcome message I sent you originally with all the helpful notes on how Wikipedia works, as you don't seem to have quite grasped it yet. Oh, by the way, you shouldn't sign any contribution you make to an article page, although you should sign on a talk page like this one.

I have put the Wales article forward for GA status. It just needs tweaking, and maybe a heavy-handed swipe from outside to get it in place. If we fail, we fail, there is nothing wrong with that; but Wales should be a Good Article at least and if it takes good intentioned amateurs to reach that then so be it. I would appreciate that any further reverts to the page Labour Party (UK), be adressed first on the Discussion Page. I feel that the previous version has too many hyperlinks and does not adequately summarise the page's content. One example is the top section of the opening paragraph, which merely stated 'The Labour Party is a centre-left political party in the United Kingdom'. The image caption reads Sainsbury's supermarket in Banbury during 2000. It was enlarged in 2009. So even if it was a superb picture, the store doesn't look like that now, and there are probably better, more up-to-date and representative photos of Sainsbury stores available.

Possibly that too, although I'd see them as separate issues anyway. Personally I don't mind COI too much: so long as it extends to a better depth of knowledge and doesn't breach other policies, I'm happy to have people directly connected writing the content they're best suited for. COI here would presumably affect The Howling Sea itself, the spam issue is about inbound links to it. I'd love to see more of those from East End and folk music articles, but the commutative issue is what really concerns me. We seem to be approaching this from different angles; I from the article itself, and you from the internal spam links to it. As an avowed inclusionist I too don't have much of a problem with COI except where, as in this case, there are no verifiable external references to back it up. As for them being separate issues I appreciate that we are urged to assume good faith, but it can't be entirely coincidental that two separate editors are concerned with the same subject at the same time. Roundhouse

Hi there. The reason I added Roundhouse to the lead of Village lock-up was Roundhouse (lock-up) which redirects there. Hmmm. I've never heard of a lock-up being called a roundhouse, but I'm no expert on the subject. The article made no reference at all to roundhouses until you added it, and I feel it's a bit unsafe to mention it, especially in the lead, without a reference. I can't imagine why the redirect is there.

I removed your link for a variety of reasons. You placed it in the body of the article, which is not allowed. External links should be placed at the appropriate place at the end of the article.

Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a directory. External links should in some way enhance the understanding of the subject for the reader. In my opinion your link was not placed there to enhance the article but to tout for business, which in my view makes it spam.

You maintain that your scripts are 'free'. I refer you to your own website which states :

Prices vary with performances and size of audiences but are very competitive!

A compulsory 'donation' is not a donation at all – it's a fee, and this is a very common way of generating income commercially.

I've had a look at the link you complain about and they are offering genuinely free scripts, but asking for a donation via Paypal. Even if there was a case for removing it this guideline explains why other spam links have no bearing on your own.

Cheltenham photo query

Hello, Jongleur100, just stopping by on the off-chance that you might be able to help - don't worry if you can't. My current project is an article about the Boden Professors of Sanskrit at Oxford (underway at user:Bencherlite/Boden Professor of Sanskrit). The post was established by a James Boden, whose daughter Elizabeth is buried at Trinity Cheltenham. Her memorial in the church records the terms of his will, and so I thought that a picture of it might be a good addition to the article. I've had a look on Flickr, Geograph and Google and there's nothing I can use. So I had a trawl through Category:Wikipedians in Gloucestershire and spotted that you live in Cheltenham and take photos... I don't know if the church is ever open outside service times or whether it allows photography - or even whether the memorial is visible these days! - but if you happened to be in the area and happened to be able to get a snap of it, extreme gratitude would be sent in your direction in abundant measure. Hi, I actually live about 15 miles from Cheltenham but am a fairly frequent visitor. Strangely enough I was in Trinity church about a month ago, my first visit there. The organist was practising, so the door was open and I wandered in. I've now had a chance to visit the church and I'm afraid the news is not good. The vault is not accessible because it's currently sealed off. Apparently they suspect that not only does it contain asbestos, but also 'medieval spores and viruses' which may be injurious to health! All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
