Normally, we let them do it themselves. @MarioJump83: Also, this invitation was premature and grossly inappropriate. This person has a long history of edit-warring, and they were even socking for some time. Until they have proven that they're not longer a disruptive user, they should not be issued an invitation. Simple as that. And the more experienced users will be the judge of that. @HurricaneEdgar: This applies to you as well. I've been seeing far too many premature invitations to users who clearly aren't ready yet. We've already had a discussion on the WPTC talk page on how to handle future invitations (in Archive 44), and I think that it's time that we start enforcing it. I've seen far too many cases of invitations to users who end up getting blocked for various issues, or are revealed to be the socks of an LTA. This kind of stuff makes us look completely incompetent. And honestly, there are plenty of other users who are fed up with this as well. If this continues, I will have no choice but to push for a binding invitation moratorium on WPTC (at least for the newer users who joined in the last 1β2 years).
