Photo licensing problem

I uploaded two photos from San Diego from your Flickr SDCC folder. One for Steven Yeun and the other Sonequa Martin-Green. Needless to say, I was being experimental (very new to uploading and editing) so I'm just checking to make sure if you knew the licensing was fine as there appears to be an error with Yeun. Nice job!/A proposition

Nice work on the newer GOT episode articles, particularly "The Door". I don't know if after the season ends, maybe you would like to team up with me to improve all GOT episode articles, possibly getting them all up to GA? Perhaps you've seen my name in article histories or perhaps not. Up to this point, I've mainly been working on my other favorite television series, Veronica Mars, but I'm looking for a new big content project. I'll be away for much of June, however. Does this sound appealing to you? Johanna(talk to me!) 16:38, 27 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Question

I know you didn't nominate those articles for GA-status, someone was just trying to get them into that status by taking credit for it when they cleary didn't make any contribution. DepressedPer (talk) 03:29, 22 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't really have anything against it, I personally haven't nominated them because I find the GA process to be long winded, and would prefer it if someone else did it. But I don't necessarily have any desire for them to be GAs anyway. Calibrador (talk) 03:35, 22 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Calibrador. Hello Calibrador,

thanks again for having created White House National Trade Council (srym, I'm no native speaker). You wrote when Trump becomes President - now he is. I'm not shure if the WHNTC is really and officially created by now (if I were I would dare to change it). Greetings Calibrador! You recently restored the new White House portrait at Melania Trump, however this addition was challenged by several editors and there is an active discussion on the talk page. Please carefully read this information:

The Arbitration Committee has authorised discretionary sanctions to be used for pages regarding all edits about, and all pages related to post-1932 politics of the United States and closely related people, a topic which you have edited. The Committee's decision is here.

Discretionary sanctions is a system of conduct regulation designed to minimize disruption to controversial topics. This means uninvolved administrators can impose sanctions for edits relating to the topic that do not adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, our standards of behavior, or relevant policies. Administrators may impose sanctions such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks. This message is to notify you that sanctions are authorised for the topic you are editing. notability

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. Re: "Elements of the episode are based on the forthcoming sixth novel"

Hey, I was curious, and went back to check who it was who made this edit. I was assuming it was some new editor, random IP, or the like. (I actually suspected a particular editor whom I have already told multiple times not to make edits like this.) I was genuinely surprised to see it was an experienced contributor like you.

You do understand why a source from January 2016 is completely inadequate for a claim about the writing of a TV episode written, at the earliest, in summer of that year, don't you?

Edit warring

This edit was out of line. A talk page discussion has been open for two days, with everyone either agreeing to the change or making nonsense non-arguments. Note that making edits counter to a talk page discussion, while refusing to engage in the discussion oneself, and not even providing an edit summary, is edit warring, even if you don't "technically" violate 3RR. Game of Thrones episodes

Hi Calibrador. I just wanted to know if you could help in the improvement of some GoT episodes including "The Door", "No One", "The Queen's Justice", and "Eastwatch". As you were one of the major contributors on "TQJ" and "Eastwatch", I thought you might still have some suggestions on how to solve those articles' issues as soon as possible, and also expand "The Dragon and the Wolf", as currently information about the episode's production is lacking on that article. Addition of a large, primary-sourced quote-farm to The Dragon and the Wolf

Calibrador, I know I'm a bit late, but when you made this edit, were you aware that User:DavidK93 and I had already explained here that that was a bad idea? Most of your (very large) edit will eventually need to be verified or falsified with reliable secondary sources and rewritten in Wikipedia's voice, so making edits like that does not significantly improve the article (quote-farms are not useful to readers, who can read the interviews themselves if that's what they want) and just makes more work fixing the article down the line. Hijiri 88 (やや) 22:27, 24 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, it will take a bit of work. Note that, in several places, the "Writing" section discusses the performances of the actors, a clear tipoff that the information is misplaced within the article. I will eventually try to take a look at rewriting it in Wikipedia's voice, and partitioning the information out to more appropriate sections. --DavidK93 (talk) 14:36, 25 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Kraft Foods logo.svg

Thank you for uploading File:Kraft Foods logo.svg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for the calculation of the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages. A tag has been placed on File:Game-of-Thrones-Season-8-Official-Poster.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused duplicate or lower-quality copy of another file on Wikipedia having the same file format, and all inward links have been updated.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. -- /Alex/21 06:37, 22 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, I noticed that while you created two recent GoT articles you used the same incorrect syntax in the infobox. Images & Consensus

Hi Gage, When adding your images - If you come across a hidden comment such as "NOTE: This image was chosen as the lead image as the result of an RfC discussion in May 2019. If you want to use a different lead image, please discuss the matter on the article talk page." can you please atleast follow it and head to the talkpage to get consensus for your change?,
Forcing your images in and ignoring consensus doesn't end well,
Unless you want to blocked for being a pain in the ass then it may be wise to head to the talkpage in future especially when consensus requires you to do so,
Thanks. –Davey2010Talk 21:17, 6 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Die Hard 1989

Hi Calibrador, I've run into an image issue and thought you might be the person to ask. I'm working on developing the Die Hard film article here and I'm really struggling in terms of images, to the point that it's often just a long wall of text. There are no images of Reginald Veljohnson or Hart Bochner, there is one of Atherton but his contributions are relatively small and he's not mentioned enough by reviews or crew to warrant his inclusion in other areas. I can't even find a free image of the AVCO theater in California where the premiere took place. I don't suppose you would have any such relevant images you've just happened to never upload have you? Thanks in advance. Darkwarriorblake / SEXY ACTION TALK PAGE! 19:32, 28 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Neal Carter (politician), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Jacqueline Parker. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

I suppose it was a "less blurry photo"

Thanks for updating the photo on the Arryn Zech page. I just made a screenshot of the previous photo last night from this clip, that's why it was a bit blurry. I guess I did it at the wrong time, because I didn't know there would be photos of Zech from the convention, which were much more high quality. In any case, I'm hoping that I can create a page for Kara Eberle next, as there some good high-quality images of her as well. Historyday01 (talk) 22:34, 30 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Readding Sauvage's image

Hi! I think you can readd the image of Marguerite Sauvage at her Wikipedia article. The Deletion Request will be declined with a very high probability, as the claim is bogus (taken at a public event of a notable person without taking a degrading moment in the US). (Apart from that, we even don't know if the claim was by the depicted person) :)

A cup of tea for you!

Dear Calibrador,

Thanks for your contribution to Wikipedia.

Could you please officially close the two RfCs below that have the same purpose: to decide on a new Trump profile picture?

1. RfC: Trump infobox photo 2. RfC: Trump photo https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:2024_United_States_presidential_election#Alternative_options%3F Goodtiming8871 (talk) 11:43, 26 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Some baklava for you!

Hello,

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia for the happiness of many people around the world who are influenced by the United States,

Regarding the photo of President Trump, when the US presidential election topic was first opened, I hope that by keeping the WP:STATUSQUO, the original official photo of President Trump can be registered to help users who access Wikipedia.[1] Examples: Replace the temporary random photo with the original photo to keep the WP:STATUSQUO or provide comments related to the talk page for other users.
