Your host, cpe-173-88-246-138.neo.res.rr.com (173.88.246.138), is part of a pool of dynamically allocated addresses and is registered to Spectrum - Ravenna, Ohio, USA. It may be shared by multiple users, so you might receive messages on this page that were not intended for you.
Applying an indefinite block to this IP is not appropriate, unless it is a soft block, because the IP address will later be reallocated to a different, unrelated, and unsuspecting user, thereby impairing access to Wikipedia in an inappropriate fashion. Caution should be used when blocking this IP or reverting its contributions without checking.
The best approach is to determine the CIDR IP numerical address range and make a higher-level decision to soft-block the entire range. http://www.arin.net/ (for approximately North America) and related sites can help to identify that range. Caution is advised when applying a range block as other Wikipedians, both registered and otherwise, may be affected.
In the event of vandalism from this IP address, abuse reports can be sent to its network administrator for investigation.
Review contributions carefully if blocking this IP address or reverting its contributions. If a block is needed, administrators should consider a soft block using Template:Anonblock.
Network administrators, to monitor this IP address for vandalism, can subscribe to a web feed of this page in either RSS or Atom format.

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Toots Hibbert has been reverted. Your edit here to Toots Hibbert was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m1QDdPxlqjU) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. music or video) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy, as well as other parts of our external links guideline. If the information you linked to is indeed in violation of copyright, then such information should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file, or consider linking to the original. If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Howard Stern. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Your edit here to Howard Stern was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links in references which are discouraged per our reliable sources guideline. The reference(s) you added or changed (https://www.celebritynetworth.com/richest-celebrities/howard-stern-net-worth/) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. I noticed you typed a question about one of the sources within the source code for the page on John Lithgow. A better way to get a response and have a discussion about such things would be on the article's talk page, and I have reverted your edit. Regards, goose121 (talk) 05:14, 17 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Although he was hesitant in mentioning the figures, he said, the highest they charged outside the country was $3000, excluding transportation, food and accommodation”.
Yes I read the article. Saying that that is what they charge does not mean they have done it. I also provide services and have rates for different services, does not mean that I have had requests for all the services that I can provide. Thanks for your suggestion. When you believe an article needs improvement, please feel free to change it. We encourage you to be bold in updating pages, since wikis like ours develop faster when everybody edits. I'll say it again; please be bold and edit articles yourself. There's no need to make a comment on the talk page of every single article. Firestar464 (talk) 05:07, 7 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Lepontic language, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. jp×g07:15, 1 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I emailed Xavier Salomon: As a scholar of both Veronese and Aretino, you may be uniquely qualified to comment on the following. In a documentary video, Peter Greenaway states that Aretino is portrayed in Veronese’s The Marriage of Cana and that Aretino might be said to have been Veronese’s “scriptwriter” for the painting, since Veronese closely followed Aretino’s text. (He doesn’t say what text.)
The video is at Peter Greenaway. The Marriage. on Vimeo. He discusses Aretino from 9:18 to 10:29 and from 18:40 to 18:45.
Is Greenaway right? If so, I’ll add it to Aretino’s Wikipedia entry.
Salomon replied: I think Greenaway is wrong on both counts. I don’t think Aretino had anything to do with Veronese’s Marriage at Cana, and he does not appear in it. There is absolutely no evidence for this and it also makes historically little sense. Maurice Magnus (talk) 11:37, 6 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, I'm Sam Walczak. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Aaron Avshalomov have been undone because they did not appear constructive. Hello there, I've seen some of your contributions, and it is clear you have been here for quite a while. I strongly suggest you create an account, for specific benefits of creating an account see here. Ollieisanerd (talk • contribs) 19:44, 16 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Welcome!
Hello! I noticed your contributions and wanted to welcome you to the Wikipedia community. I hope you like it here and decide to stay.
You are welcome to edit anonymously; however, creating an account is free and has several benefits (for example, the ability to create pages, upload media and edit without one's IP address being visible to the public).
Raising essentially the same issue on multiple noticeboards and talk pages, or to multiple administrators or reviewers, or any one of these repetitively, is unhelpful to finding and achieving consensus. It does not help develop consensus to try different forums in the hope of finding one where you get the answer you want. (This is also known as "asking the other parent".)
When adding to requested articles, you must provide reliable, independent sources at the end of the request, or the requests will be removed. Take a look at how other requests on these pages are formatted, with links to sources at the end of the request, for examples of how to do this. Thanks! Double contrabass flute war
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Double contrabass flute. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

Can you help? I added essential information that needed to be somewhere in the article (in order to help make it properly encyclopedic), and we're a collaborative project, each editor building on the strengths of the others. 173.88.246.138 (talk) 17:45, 7 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hello 173.88.246.138! Your additions to Harry Lee (sheriff) have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.
Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Grumpylawnchair (talk)14:11, 29 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
