Tadamasa Kodaira
Tadamasa Kodaira (小平 忠正, Kodaira Tadamasa, born March 18, 1942) is a former Japanese politician of the Democratic Party of Japan, who served as a member of the House of Representatives in the Diet (national legislature). Early lifeKodaira is a native of Iwamizawa, Hokkaidō and graduated from Keio University in Tokyo. Prior to going into politics, he ran a ranch. Political careerKodaira was elected to the House of Reoresentatives for the first time in 1990, and served until 2012. He represented the Hokkaido 4th constituency from 1990-1996, and the Hokkaido 10th from 1996-2012. In the first cabinet reshuffle of Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda on October 1, 2012, Kodaira was appointed Chairman of the National Public Safety Commission, Minister of State for Consumer Affairs and Food Safety, taking over from Jin Matsubara.[1] Election history
