Protoerigone obtusa
Protoerigone obtusa is a species of sheet weaver spider endemic to New Zealand.[1] TaxonomyThis species was described in 1979 by A.D Blest from male and female specimens. The holotype is stored in Otago Museum.[1] DescriptionThe male is recorded at 3.04mm in length whereas the female is 3.2mm. This species has a dark brown cephalothorax. The abdomen has dark and pale markings.[1] DistributionThis species is only known from Stewart Island and the South Island of New Zealand.[1] Conservation statusUnder the New Zealand Threat Classification System, this species is listed as "Not Threatened".[2] References
