Town of ancient Pontus
Pida (Ancient Greek: Πίδα), or Pidae[1] or Pidis,[2] was a town of ancient Pontus, inhabited during Roman and Byzantine times.[3] It was in the later province of Pontus Galaticus, on the road leading from Amasia to Neocaesareia.[4][2]
Its site is located near Akça in Asiatic Turkey.[3][5]
