Okeya Kyujiro is a theatrical Omakase restaurant located in Canada.

Description

Montreal's first, reservation-only, OMAKASE restaurant. There are three locations, which are Montreal, Vancouver, and Toronto. The Vancouver location of Okeya Kyujiro operates in the Yaletown neighbourhood in downtown Vancouver. The Vancouver Sun has said the restaurant offers a "solemn, opulent, theatrical omakase experience".[1]

Reception

Its location in Vancouver, British Columbia has been awarded a Michelin star.[2][3][4][5]

The Vancouver location received an honourable mention in Best New Restaurant category in Vancouver Magazine's 2023 Restaurant Awards.[6] Noms Magazine has said, "As you enter the dimly lit dining room, the atmosphere echoes a blend of Cirque du Soleil grandeur and traditional kabuki. It’s more than a meal; it’s a celebration of art."[7]
