Kačanov
Kačanov (Hungarian: Kácsánd) is a village and municipality in Michalovce District in the Kosice Region of eastern Slovakia. HistoryIn historical records the village was first mentioned in 1304. Before the establishment of independent Czechoslovakia in 1918, it was part of Zemplén County within the Kingdom of Hungary. GeographyThe village lies at an altitude of 100 metres and covers an area of 5.78 km2 (2.23 sq mi) (2020-06-30/-07-01).[4] PopulationIt has a population of 500 people (2020-12-31).[5] EthnicityThe population is about 99% Slovak in ethnicity.
