Aucara District
Aucará District is one of twenty-one districts of the Lucanas Province in Peru.[1] GeographyOne of the highest mountains of the district is Kunturillu at approximately 4,600 m (15,100 ft). Other mountains are listed below:[2]
Ethnic groupsThe people in the district are mainly indigenous citizens of Quechua descent. Quechua is the language which the majority of the population (52.65%) learnt to speak in childhood, 47.04% of the residents started speaking using the Spanish language (2007 Peru Census).[3] See alsoReferences
