• – Brightline West expected to begin service. It will be the United States' first true high-speed rail line.[4]

• – Mumbai–Ahmedabad high-speed rail corridor to fully start operations.[5] It will be India's first high-speed rail line.[6]

• – Santiago Metro Line 7 opening.[8]
• – Abidjan Metro to start operations between Anyama Centre and Aérocité.[9]
