The Vermont Catamounts represented the University of Vermont in Women's Hockey East Association play during the 2016–17 NCAA Division I women's ice hockey season.

- April 5: Amanda Pelkey ('15) won a Gold Medal with Team USA at the 2016 IIHF World Championships in British Columbia.[1]
- July 29: Eve-Audrey Picard(Canada) and Taylor Willard (USA) were selected to their respective National Development Teams.[2]
