Dia adalah penulis lima buku, termasuk Eternal Dawn: Turkey in the Age of Ataturk dan Sorrowful Shores: Violence, Ethnicity, and the End of the Ottoman Empire . Dia telah menerbitkan berbagai topik yang berkaitan dengan sejarah dan politik dalam publikasi seperti Foreign Affairs, New York Times, Jurnal Internasional Studi Timur Tengah, Jurnal Timur Tengah, Studi Iran, Dulu & Sekarang, dan Perang di Batuan.[1]
