Dror Ze'evi adalah sejarawan asal Israel yang mempelajari sejarah politik, sosial, dan kultur Kekaisaran Utsmaniyah, Turki, dan Levant.

Ze'evi lahir di Haifa pada tahun 1953. Ayahnya, Benjamin (Benny) Zeevi [he], adalah seorang kepala bagian di Mossad dan ibunya, Galila, adalah seorang pendesain interior. Ze'evi tumbuh di beberapa kota di Israel dan juga di beberapa negara lainnya, seperti Prancis dan Inggris. Dia pernah bekerja untuk intelijen IDF hingga tahun 1983 dan mendapatkan pangkat Letnan Kolonel selama pengabidannya di pasukan cadangan.
