Baptis orang mati
Baptis orang mati secara umum merujuk kepada praktik baptis terhadap orang yang telah meninggal dan seseorang yang masih hidup menjadi perantara baptis untuk orang mati tersebut. Baptis orang mati dikenal sebagai doktrin gerakan Orang-orang Kudus Zaman Akhir , yang telah menerapkannya sejak 1840. Praktik tersebut dilarang oleh gereja perdana , dan sehingga tidak diterapkan dalam Kekristenan arus utama modern, baik itu Ortodoks Oriental , Ortodoks Timur , Katolik Roma maupun gereja-gereja Protestan manapun.
