核形蟲綱 (Cristidiscoidea或Nucleariae)是真菌總界 下的一個演化支 ,與後孢菌 (真菌 所屬類群)為姐妹群 。由於核形蟲接近,但又位於真菌 與動物 主要分支之外,對核形蟲綱的研究可以提供關於這些類群的不同生活方式,以及後鞭毛生物 與黏菌 多細胞化 演化過程的重要訊息[ 1] 。
