The Harmon Hotel was going to be a non-gaming boutique hotel originally set to be 49 stories, but it was cut to 25 stories after construction defects were discovered. On November 13, 2010 the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported[5] that MGM Resorts International plans to demolish the Harmon Hotel due to its previously revealed defects, however the exact date of the demolition has been placed on hold due to ongoing litigation between MGM Resorts International and various parties involved in the development of CityCenter.
