Village in Ilam, Iran
Zir Tang (Persian : زيرتنگ )[ a] is a village in, and the capital of, Bijnavand Rural District of Zagros District , Chardavol County , Ilam province, Iran .[ 4]
Demographics
Ethnicity
The village is populated by Kurds .[ 5]
Population
At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 501 in 110 households, when it was in the Central District .[ 6] The following census in 2011 counted 487 people in 119 households.[ 7] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 469 people in 124 households,[ 2] by which time the rural district had been separated from the district in the establishment of Zagros District.[ 4]
