Xinjiang Silk Road Eagles Football Club (Chinese: 新疆丝路雄鹰足球俱乐部; pinyin: Xīnjiāng Sīlù Xióngyīng Zúqiú Jùlèbù) is a Chinese professional football club based in Urumqi, Xinjiang. The club competes in the China Champions League, the fourth tier of Chinese football. The Xinjiang Silk Road Eagles play their home matches in Urumqi and are Xinjiang's first membership-based football club.[1][2][3][4] HistoryThe club officially registered as a professional entity in early 2024 and began preparations for its debut season in the China Champions League (Xinjiang Division). On March 2, 2024, the club appointed Spanish head coach Fernando, a former La Liga player and experienced coach, to lead the team.[5][6] The Xinjiang Silk Road Eagles made their debut on March 23, 2024, in the China Champions League (Xinjiang Division).[7] References
