Waltzing Matilda is a 1941 Australian radio serial by Edmund Barclay.[2]
Premise
In 1910, John Hargreaves, a thirty-something clerk in the city, quits his job to travel the country and become a swagman.[3] He is befriended by a man called Nugget.[4]
Episode 10 - "The Road Again" - "Who shot old man Downs? Nugget says good luck to him, anyhow whoever it was. John, however, makes out a very good case to the effect that old man Downs accidentally shot himself, and then tried to put the blame on his son, Perce. When Nugget realises this, he determines to give old man Downs a piece of his mind."[7]
