Volunteers in Medicine
Volunteers in Medicine (VIM) is a national non-profit organization based in the United States, dedicated to building a network of free primary health care clinics for the medically underserved population, including those without health insurance. HistoryVolunteers in Medicine was founded in 2001 in North Carolina. VIM was growing at a steady rate until partnering with The Dr Oz Show for an episode, after which the organization experienced rapid growth.[1][2] In 2021, Volunteers in Medicine announced that it was moving its free clinic program to the National Association of Free and Charitable Clinics (NAFC).[3] Further reading
