At the time of the 2006 National Census, the rural district's population was 8,862 in 2,150 households.[5] There were 8,043 inhabitants in 2,331 households at the following census of 2011.[6] The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 6,539 in 2,185 households. The most populous of its 13 villages was Nanadegan, with 1,716 people.[2]
