About LDLO

Hello, Zyxw. Could I persuade you to change the target of LDLO from Lošinj Airport to Lowest published lethal dose, a.k.a. Lethal Dose (Lowest)? By the way, that's a really pretty island. Is it a resort, or just one of those things? Yappy2bhere (talk) 17:26, 6 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. In response to your request, please feel free to change the redirect at LDLO. I don't see any problem with it since Lowest published lethal dose already a hatnote that mentions the redirect and provides a link Lošinj Airport. IATA code

You removed YAH as La Grande-4 Airport's IATA code. I believe you, but before I remove it from other pages that point there, I'd like to know where you got the information. Is it from the Canada Flight Supplement? Is there a reliable online source for IATA codes? I couldn't find one at http://www.iata.org/whatwedo/aircraft_operations/codes/index and the external links at IATA Airport Code gave me some but not other codes listed at WP. The IATA charges a fee for an official list of IATA location identifiers; as per this page it costs $1,100 (US) for a one time web download. Because of that I use secondary sources for IATA codes; one I have found to be quite accurate is the Aviation Safety Network. When I edited La Grande-4 Airport back in July 2007, I was checking the IATA codes for Canadian airport articles; those found at ASN had links added, those not found were removed until a reference could be found. Due to your question I checked another secondary source, UN/LOCODE (United Nations Code for Trade and Transport Locations). Their 2009 list for Canada contains YAH, with a "4" in the function column indicating "airport" and "AI" in the status column meaning a "code adopted by international organization (IATA or ECLAC)". Therefore, I have updated the article to show IATA: YAH, with a reference to the UN/LOCODE list. -- Zyxw (talk) 06:30, 1 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

coord template

Hi there. I've reverted your gallery additions to the Dracaena article. Those are more appropriate for Wikimedia Commons. Please see the image use policy and note that Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate repository of images. Info about cultivars is better described by using words and illustrated by occasional photos. Airports

Hi. I noticed your work on Tela Airport and thought how much better the infoboxes look with maps. I've recently added maps to like Cardiff Airport, Washington Dulles International Airport etc. I wondered if you could help add 280 px maps to other airport articles? Thanks for noticing. I started adding the location maps to the infoboxes of smaller airport articles that had no images. I do sometimes also add a map if there is just one image. However, for larger airport articles with multiple images, sometimes the location map adds too much clutter to the infobox. Thanks for the heads up. That image was used in an airport article. Eureka Airport (Nevada)

Just curious why you removed the ICAO of P68 from Eureka Airport? A quick Google search shows the association between the ID and airport seems to be correct. Famartin (talk) 05:37, 7 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I removed KP68 from Eureka Airport (Nevada) because it is not the airport's ICAO location indicator. If an airport in the 48 contiguous United States is assigned an ICAO location indicator, it is always the letter K followed by the 3-character FAA location identifier (05U for Eureka Airport). As for P68 (or KP68) showing up in Google searches, that appears to be an ID used by the National Weather Service for the Eureka Automated Surface Observing System (ASOS), not for the airport. -- Zyxw (talk) 04:42, 8 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

List of airports in Australia

Hi, All the external links you added to this article that go to Airservices Australia are now broken and I can't really make heads or tails of their website; I get access denied errors whenever I try to do anything.
