I was going to make the same warning, I see that jpgordon beat me to it. When we call a spade a spade, we are calling a spade a spade. Not a potato a spade. Clockback is not a "twat," which is literally incorrect, or, alternatively, is at best a vulgar and uncivil term for someone being rude. He made a clumsy edit, I suspect he didn't realize that it would appear as it did, and he is being contentious and, indeed, disruptive in violation of WP:POINT, but we don't need to toss gasoline on the fire. Orphaned non-free media (Image:Mysterious Man.jpg)Thanks for uploading Image:Mysterious Man.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media). If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:06, 15 July 2008 (UTC) removing the POV tag on the ADHD articleHi, that tag was put there for a specific reason. The quote that, "adhd is the most controversial disorder there is", is in my opinion minority opinion, and as such should not be in the lead section. This was mentioned in talk, and another contributor who also stripped the tag, hasn't given a clear reason why it belongs in the lead or why it should be considered majority viewpoint. I know of no medical body or scientific body that has specifically stated it is a controversial disorder. Usually controversy centers around the issue of medication not the whole disorder itself. Anyways, I'd appreciate it if you wouldn't remove the tag but welcome you to the talk page to discuss the matter.--scuro (talk) 23:41, 22 September 2008 (UTC) Moving Characters in MetalocalypseI've reverted your move because it lacked a rationale. I'm assuming you moved it because of a "naming convention"; this naming convention is somewhat controversial amongst page editors, specifically because most of us would like to distance this article from being written off as "just a list". There are several discussions on the talk page over this specific issue. Please read them, and if you're still adamant that a page move is appropriate, let us know why there. -- Y|yukichigai (ramble argue check) 09:35, 4 October 2008 (UTC)
FYI
RFC at WP:NOR-noticeA concern was raised that the clause, "a primary source may be used only to make descriptive claims, the accuracy of which is verifiable by any reasonable, educated person without specialist knowledge" conflicts with WP:NPOV by placing a higher duty of care with primary sourced claims than secondary or tertiary sourced claims. An RFC has been initiated to stimulate wider input on the issue. My current draft for it can be found here. I would appreciate help from any of you with two things related to this: 1: RegentsPark, the admin who protected the redirect from Race and crime to Anthropological criminology, has suggested that the statistical information in this article should be better-integrated into the portion of it that discusses how these statistics can be interpreted. I would appreciate help with improving this aspect of the article, or any other aspects of it that you think could be improved. 2: RegentsPark has let me know here that he won’t be willing to unprotect the article himself, no matter how much it’s improved, so if I would like it to be unprotected I should propose this at WP:RFPP. I’ve proposed there that it be unprotected, but the admin who responded (User:Camaron) stated that without RegentsPark’s approval, I would need to first obtain a consensus that the article should be recreated. If you think the article does not require any additional improvements, and is good enough to be recreated in its current state, I would appreciate you making your opinion about this known on the draft’s discussion page, so that we can begin to create a consensus for this. Thanks in advance. --Captain Occam (talk) 23:35, 19 September 2009 (UTC) Your edit to S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl plot summaryI noticed that you rewrote the plot summary of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl, particularly to rearange the events to match the sequence as the player encountered them. I'm fine with that, but what disturbs me is the length. The Project guidelines establish a limit of 700 words for a summary. Prior to your edit, it had a word count of about 550; after your edit, it had a word count of over 1,000. If you could trim it down to around 700, I'd be fine with it. Re: Race and Crime > Thanks for the archiving helpHi, Yukichigai. I just wanted to thank you for pulling up those old archives. I became involved in the article at the end of September last year, and I wasn't aware of the older discussions. Also, thanks for the positive feedback on the article: it took a fair amount of work, but the article finally seems to have overcome the problems that had plagued it for quite some time. After having wrapped up my work on it in October, I've noticed that it has remained surprisingly stable and free of targeting by trolls. It's far from perfect, though. I'm pretty confident in regards to the research and the sourcing, but the text itself could be tightened by a more efficient editor. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010. Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages. When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here. If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Thanks, BracketBot (talk) 03:18, 21 June 2013 (UTC) Re: Super Meat BoyCollaboration does not mean that every contribution is fine with some tweaks. You took a featured article and slapped on eight paragraphs of closely-detailed, sometimes crossing the line into OR, plot. Final Fantasy XIII manages to get its ridiculous plot into four paragraphs- at that level of summary, the SMB plot would be a couple sentences long, and wouldn't need its own section, if that needed to be written at all. Which it doesn't- for someone who is so against content authoritarianism, I'm surprised that your reasoning behind adding a plot section is that wikipedia guidelines mandate a plot section; they don't, it's whatever the article can support. In this case, the article can't support a plot section that doesn't over-analyze every second of flash animation. To quote myself from the second FAC (of three) - "There's basically no story- each level is in a vacuum, and between worlds are short cutscenes that do little but show meat boy getting close to bandage girl, Dr. Fetus stealing her away, and a reason for the transition in level theme. The plot isn't noted in any review or synopsis, and isn't a driving force for the game's action." --PresN 15:45, 28 October 2013 (UTC) Disambiguation link notification for December 4Hi.
