I failed its GAN, and left several comments that you can use for any future nom nom noms. --♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 22:45, 3 August 2011 (UTC) GA reviewsHi Evan, I saw that you have a few articles at the Cup's reviews page, so I thought, if I review one of your work, would you review one of mind? Hello YE, I have reviewed the 1987 Pacific hurricane season for GA. There are quite a few improvements needed, but I will let you fix them, rather than simply quick fail. You can read the full review at this page. Regards, --12george1 (talk) 16:06, 10 August 2011 (UTC) Wind advisoryIf you're going to say "it needs to be expanded", prove that it can be. I've seen AFDs where people pile on with the "keep, it just needs work" but nobody ever works on it, and then six years later, the article's still three sentences long and devoid of sources. Weather isn't my thing, so you do it. Ten Pound Hammer, his otters and a clue-bat • (Otters want attention) 02:41, 11 August 2011 (UTC) The Signpost: 15 August 2011

NOAA Irene speakHey, I edited my post to be more civil as well as factual and intellectual rather than berate obviously shitty yet incredibly powerful sources. You might want to take down the slight at "CNN". Feel free to delete thsi section when you're done. Also sorry I don't know much about WP etiquette. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Azadismind (talk • contribs) 03:34, 27 August 2011 (UTC) The Signpost: 29 August 2011

WikiCup 2011 July newsletterThe finals are upon us; we're down to the last few. One of the eight remaining contestants will be this year's WikiCup champion! 150 was the score needed to progress to the final; just under double the 76 required to reach round 4, and more than triple the 41 required to reach round 3. Our eight finalists are:
We say goodbye to our seven other semi-finalists, Another Believer (submissions), Piotrus (submissions), Grandiose (submissions), Stone (submissions), Eisfbnore (submissions), Canada Hky (submissions) and MuZemike (submissions). Everyone still in the competition at this stage has done fantastically well, and contributed greatly to Wikipedia. We're on the home straight now, and we will know our winner in two months. In other news, preparations for next year's competition have begun with a brainstorming thread. Please, feel free to drop by and share any thoughts you have about how the competition should work next year. Sign ups are not yet open, but will be opened in due course. Watch this space. Further, there has been a discussion about the rule whereby those in the WikiCup must delcare their participation when nominating articles at featured article candidates. This has resulted in a bot being created by new featured article delegate Ucucha (talk · contribs). The bot will leave a message on FAC pages if the nominator is a participant in the WikiCup. A reminder of the rules: any points scored after August 29 may be claimed for the final round, and please remember to update submission pages promptly. If you are concerned that your nomination, be it at good article candidates, a featured process or anywhere else, will not receive the necessary reviews, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews. However, please remember to continue to offer reviews at GAC, FAC and all the other pages that require them to prevent any backlogs which could otherwise be caused by the Cup. As ever, questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup and the judges are reachable on their talk pages, or by email. Good luck! If you wish to start receiving or stop receiving this newsletter, please feel free to add or remove yourself from Wikipedia:WikiCup/Newsletter/Send. Your DYK nom for Hurricane Estelle (1986)Hi YE, I've reviewed your nomination at Template:Did you know nominations/Hurricane Estelle (1986) and I have an issue with the hook interest. Could you take a look at my comments and reply there? Thanks. Crisco 1492 (talk) 13:29, 19 September 2011 (UTC)

UTCCan you please define UTC for me, and how it compares to PDT? (For example: 1800 UTC = 5:00 P.M PDT) That way, I will know exactly which time to use for the Hurricane Timelines, and I won't be so confused anymore. Thank you! 68.101.170.61 (talk) 07:16, 21 September 2011 (UTC) DYK for Hurricane Norbert (1984)
Materialscientist (talk) 20:33, 23 September 2011 (UTC) Debra GANI objected to three and fixed three; see the Debra review page. HurricaneFan25 22:13, 25 September 2011 (UTC) Just a reminder, when you pass GA's, you have to list them in the relevant section under Wikipedia:Good articles and update the total number in that section. I did it for you with Debra, but be sure to look out for that in the future. --♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 22:40, 25 September 2011 (UTC) BobHey, thanks for reviewing the article.
