Possible blockI don't know what your beef is with the coaching history in the infobox and why you hate it so much, but consensus has been reached and that section is here to stay. However, if you continue with you destructive edits, I will be reporting you and requesting you be blocked for a while. You have a history of vandalizing articles and we just can't have that anymore. Justin Smoak/Seattle Mariners categoryHey man, if Justin Smoak is in the starting lineup tomorrow for the Mariners which I'm pretty sure will be the case, can you add the Category to his page for me because I'm actually going to be at that game tomorrow. – Michael (talk) 02:04, 10 July 2010 (UTC)
Hi, I've restored the edit you reverted to Buster Posey. He does play first base. Everard Proudfoot (talk) 20:27, 27 July 2010 (UTC) It's not his regular position, but he's played several games there. Everard Proudfoot (talk) 05:17, 28 July 2010 (UTC) He's played 27 games at 1st and 21 at Catcher: http://sanfrancisco.giants.mlb.com/stats/individual_stats_player.jsp?c_id=sf&playerID=457763 Everard Proudfoot (talk) 05:28, 28 July 2010 (UTC) Actually, that's not true. They're planning on giving him rest days by playing first. They said so on tonight's game. Everard Proudfoot (talk) 06:07, 28 July 2010 (UTC) Thx. I would love help creating them if you are so inclined.--TM 04:25, 21 August 2010 (UTC) Yankees minor leaguersI appreciate your enthusiasm, but not every Yankee minor leaguer needs a stub. Like D. J. Mitchell for instance, all it says is that he was promoted to AAA. I think the page is starting to get cluttered and we should pick and choose who we add. --Muboshgu (talk) 02:44, 24 August 2010 (UTC)
Proposed deletion of Curtis Brown (running back)I contested the prod of Curtis Brown (running back) on the grounds that his official NFL bio states he appeared in 4 preseason games, thereby fulfilling at least the letter of WP:ATHLETE. This is contrary to the Wikipedia-wide WP:MOS and specifically contrary to the formatting of lead paragraphs and birth dates described in WP:BIO. Birthplaces should be included in the text, not in an expanded birth date/lifespan parenthetical. Moreover, your reliance on the purported formatting standards of WP:NFL is misplaced. No individual Wikiproject, including WP:NFL, may have different standards than the Wikipedia-wide standards. Local Wikiproject consensus does not trump Wikipedia-wide consensus on the proper formatting of biographical articles. I suspect you know this already. Please advise if we need to submit this to one of the higher WP bodies for resolution. If you want to see properly formatted NFL biographies, please review the Good Articles listed on the NFL project page. Only the handful that have been altered subsequent to their GA review and approval processes have been formatted in the manner that you refer to as "standard." Thanks. While contributions are welcome, an article may be deleted if it is inconsistent with Wikipedia policies and guidelines for inclusion, explained in the deletion policy. The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Top 100: NFL's Greatest Players until a consensus is reached, and you are welcome to contribute to the discussion. You may edit the article during the discussion, including to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Might it not be worth it to try and roll the winners templates into the main template, so that there's one template linking the accomplishments and the players who made them? All-time roster links on baseball player pagesYankees, can you please point me in the direction of the WP Baseball discussion that determined the project's consensus re not including links to the the all-time MLB rosters on the player pages? WP Baseball's discussion archives are extensive, to say the least, but I would like to read, understand and honor the baseball project's consensus re the all-time roster links. On a related topic, however, I am inclined to continue to include Florida Gators program links such as "List of Florida Gators baseball players" for former Gators athletes, "List of University of Florida alumni" for graduates, "List of University of Florida Olympians," etc., as appropriate. I think you will agree that these links are not governed by WP Baseball's consensus. There are approximately 460 articles about former Gators athletes on Wikipedia, including 230+ football players, 55+ basketball players, 55+ swimmers, 40+ baseball players, 40+ golfers and 25+ randoms. Gators baseball players are among the last 50 or so articles to be critically reviewed and upgraded. (And most of these baseball player articles are presently "orphan" stubs.") Like WP Baseball and WP NFL, WP University of Florida is attempting to impose a measure of consistency in formatting, content, and ultimately, writing quality on all of the athlete articles within the scope of WP UF. I hope that you will honor our project standards in the same manner in which we will attempt to honor those of WP Baseball. BTW, what's the significance of your WP handle? "Yankees," I get, but what's the "10?" Dirtlawyer1 (talk) 23:44, 29 November 2010 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Template:Current NFL OwnersA tag has been placed on Template:Current NFL Owners requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a deprecated or orphaned template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted. If the template is intended to be substituted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page indicating that it is substituted so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{transclusionless}}</noinclude>).
