contradictionsDown to 49! You've done the lions share I'm sure. For me, now, it's time for rest. Best regards.--S. Rich (talk) 10:25, 23 February 2011 (UTC) More on quotingHi, thanks for you help elsewhere. It seems I can quote someone elses written words in some circumstances? Not sure what those circumstances are yet. But can I quote what someone says someone else says? I think this would normally be regarded as hearsay Eg In a book by A: "....is right. However B, in evidence he gave to the commission said 'I think it wrong for...'" Can I quote B? 2829 VC 10:39, 24 February 2011 (UTC)

Thank You!
Thanks for all your helpI just wanted to say how good your adoption course is...and I wanted to give you this from me!
I'm still here!!Hi Worm, Thank you for wondering where I've been and no I haven't forgotten about wikipedia! I am slowly working on my project, my topic for my Federal Indian Law and Policy class is the Navajo Nation v. U.S. Forest Service, 2007. Currently I am just searching around for research sources. Thank you, for agreeing to be my mentor, I am sure I will have loads of questions as I begin to edit :)Starryright (talk) 02:29, 26 February 2011 (UTC)Starryright Marcus Clarke articleI responded to your Request for Feedback. Didn't see any problems (and enjoyed the article). Tkotc (talk) 03:11, 26 February 2011 (UTC) WikiCup 2011 February newsletterSo begins round two of the WikiCup! We now have eight pools, each with eight random contestants. This round will continue until the end of April, when the top two of each pool, as well as the next 16 highest scorers of those remaining, will make it to round three. Congratulations to The Bushranger (submissions) (first, with 487 points) and Hurricanehink (submissions) (second, with 459), who stormed the first round. Casliber (submissions) finished third with 223. Twelve others finished with over 100 points- well done to all of you! The final standings in round one can be seen here. A mere 8 points were required to reach round two; competition will no doubt be much more fierce this round, so be ready for a challenge! A special thanks goes, again, to Jarry1250 (submissions) for dealing with all bot work. This year's bot, as well as running smoothly, is doing some very helpful things that last year's did not. Also, thanks to Stone (submissions) for some helpful behind-the-scenes updating and number crunching. Some news for those who are interested- March will see a GAN backlog elimination drive, which you are still free to join. Organised by WikiProject Good articles, the drive aims to minimise the GAN backlog and offers prizes to those who help out. Of course, you may well be able to claim WikiCup points for the articles you review as part of the drive. Also ongoing is the Great Backlog Drive, looking to work on clearing all of the backlogs on Wikipedia; again, incentives are offered, and the spirit of friendly competition is alive, while helping the encyclopedia is the ultimate aim. Though unrelated to the WikiCup, these may well be of interest to some of you. Just a reminder of the rules; if you have done significant work on content this year and it is promoted in this round, you may claim for it. Also, anything that was promoted after the end of round one but before the beginning of round two may be claimed for in round two. Details of the rules can be found on this page. For those interested in statistics, a running total of claims can be seen here, and a very interesting table of that information (along with the highest scorers in each category) can be seen here. If you are concerned that your nomination will not receive the necessary reviews, and you hope to get it promoted before the end of the round, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews. However, please remember to continue to offer reviews at GAC, FAC and all the other pages that require them to prevent any backlogs which could otherwise be caused by the Cup. As ever, questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup and the judges are reachable on their talk pages, or by email. Good luck! If you wish to start receiving or stop receiving this newsletter, please feel free to add or remove yourself from Wikipedia:WikiCup/Newsletter/Send. J Milburn and The ed17 23:53, 28 February 2011 (UTC) Re:WikiCup questionNo, "drive-by" nominations are not eligible for points. That's not to say that they aren't a good thing, just that they aren't currently recognised :) J Milburn (talk) 10:53, 1 March 2011 (UTC) DYK for Blue Ribbon Bacon Festival
The DYK project (nominate) 12:06, 1 March 2011 (UTC) Please be the mentor for the students working on Tiered serviceHi Worm-TT! I'm currently trying to assign mentors to all the remaining groups in Professor Obar's class. Would you be the mentor for the group of students working on Tiered service? If you can do it, thanks! If not, please let me know.--Sage Ross - Online Facilitator, Wikimedia Foundation (talk) 01:00, 3 March 2011 (UTC)
Online Ambassador ProgramPlease take a look at this project page and see if you can be a mentor to one of the many Areas of Study. If you can, please put your name in the "Online Mentor" area of the Area of Study of your choice and then contact the students you will be working with. As the Coordinating Online Ambassador for this project, please let me know if I can be of assistance. Take Care...Neutralhomer • Talk • 04:22, 3 March 2011 (UTC) Check Your Area of StudyHello, I have updated the Project Page you are mentoring on with usernames for all the students in your Area of Study. Please send them a message introducing yourself and let them know you are there to help. As always, please let me know if I can be of assistance. I am part of the United States Public Policy Initiative for my Telecommunications class. I am hoping to gain knowledge of Wikipedia from you whether it be through properly referencing sources or writing in the correct style. Our topic is tiered service and I hope you can give our group some good help over the next couple weeks. Thanks! Awdietrich (talk) 13:23, 3 March 2011 (UTC)
Scam BaitingI have a few of these emails, if i blocked the email addresses, would it possible to add one to the commons as an image for the article scam baiting as an example? A picture is worth a thousand words as they say. Thanks Jenova20 13:58, 7 March 2011 (UTC)
AdopteeHey Worm, I think your protege, User:Mikeymand, won't be with us for much longer. Still, I want to thank you for working with them in the first place: that speaks volumes about your character. Sorry, Drmies (talk) 20:08, 8 March 2011 (UTC)
Making Tables in ArticlesHi Worm! I have drafted a chunk of my article on Lyng v. Northwest Indian Cemetery Protection Association. In other Articles regarding court cases, they all have a table with the US Supreme Court Seal, and all the info about respondents, justices etc. I have put all that info into the the top of my article temporary until I can figure out how to do this. I am guessing there is a template of some sort for this but I can not find it. Do you know where I might look? Thanks! --Jackiewickens (talk) 02:09, 9 March 2011 (UTC) Barnstar

The article Pasty you nominated as a good article has been placed on hold . The article is close to meeting the good article criteria, but there are some minor changes or clarifications needed to be addressed. If these are fixed within seven days, the article will pass, otherwise it will fail. See Talk:Pasty for things which need to be addressed. This is a quick message to all the ambassadors about marking and tracking which articles students are working on. For the classes working with the ambassador program, please look over any articles being worked on by students (in particular, any ones you are mentoring, but others who don't have mentors as well) and do these things:
And of course, don't forget to check in on the students, give them constructive feedback, praise them for positive contributions, award them {{The WikiPen}} if they are doing excellent work, and so on. And if you haven't done so, make sure any students you are mentoring are listed on your mentor profile. Thanks! --Sage Ross - Online Facilitator, Wikimedia Foundation (talk) 18:15, 15 March 2011 (UTC) Cornish Pasty, etc.Hiya Worm, and well done on editing the article up to GA status! I have entered a few filling variations, & the pastry recipe, in Wikibooks. Now, I have 7 variations on Squab pie in my recipe book, would you like a few? :) Eventually, I want to get the whole book online. I'm not asking you to give your vote or opinion in any way, i'm just asking that you check my work. Thanks Jenova20 15:36, 16 March 2011 (UTC)
Managed to create my first page =] must be getting good at this *thumbs up* "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:PrefixIndex/User:Jenova20/" Also created a template, although not the ones you did in the test. Thanks Jenova20 12:50, 17 March 2011 (UTC)

RFA questionHi, thanks for your question. Though your question is generic it does probe my past account history. My declaration about my previous account (stating that I was never blocked but had an RFC/U) was created after a long dialogue with Arbcom and after review with one critic at the RFC that John V. described as "an extremely long term and trusted community member" for good reason. Answering any questions about my past account will undermine confidentiality and noting that the SPA "Roncopa" had just added a pot-shot attempt at outing I suspect that any such information will be used for negative reasons. I could answer your question generically by referring to JV's statement and my existing declaration but I am not sure this is particularly helpful or illuminating. If you feel your question is appropriate under the GRFA and Clean start policy then I support the principle that you are free to raise these questions, however perhaps you could take a moment to re-visit it in the context of how useful it is in my RFA and how constrained I will be forced to be in any reply I make. Thanks Fæ (talk) 10:09, 18 March 2011 (UTC)
Page RedirectHi, i realise i ask a lot of you, but do you know how i get a page to redirect to another? Like say a Banana search may possibly redirect to the fruit article for example. Thanks Jenova20 15:56, 18 March 2011 (UTC)
Professor Obar ConcernsGot a message about an hour ago from Professor Obar of the Media and Telecommunication Policy project and I think it is viewed best in full:
With that, of course, please only give instructions on how to move, don't do it for them. Please only let them know what to do and let them do it themselves. If they run into problems, provide further instructions. Do not it for them. This seems to be making a mess of Prof. Obar's grading system and I would like to avoid that. Thanks. - Neutralhomer • Talk • Coor. Online Amb'dor • 06:11, 20 March 2011 (UTC)

Task forcePursuing the task force idea ... would you be interested in participating, and if so, would it be possible for you to round up some people who share your views and keep in touch with them as the task force makes recommendations? - Dank (push to talk) 20:58, 22 March 2011 (UTC) Thank You!I just wanted to say thank you for all of the help you've offered me since I started here. I think that I really lucked out getting you as an adopter, and I probably would have given up at my first AfD hurdle had I not had your help. I am rubbish at saying pleasant things (almost to the point of notability!) but you are a gent for all your patience and hard work in taking care of us new folk, and a credit to Wikipedia. I genuinely look forward to working with you again in future. Perhaps if I can get my studies in to the effect of mainlining Doom Bar published... Bennydigital (talk) 11:34, 23 March 2011 (UTC)
Interested? After your great work with food articles I thought you can help these two articles get to GA , Carne asada fries and Big Mac. Both are important as one is a popular dish In Southern California and one is a famous Fast food burger. Spongie555 (talk) 23:52, 23 March 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for responding ... I'm trying to keep my promise not to respond there unless I made a mistake or was unclear, I think it's up to everyone to decide what direction to go.
