Speedy deletion of Songs of the CatA tag has been placed on Songs of the Cat requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, you may not know that Wikipedia has a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Using different styles throughout the encyclopedia, as you did in List of The Story of Saiunkoku characters, makes it harder to read. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. -- Collectonian (talk · contribs) 15:15, 24 December 2008 (UTC)
MaiaI think you had a good point about Zirek and Meris in Maia (novel). I added them, though I'm really not sure it's a good idea to add a subplot. Another method would be just something like "With the two freed prisoners and the assassins who killed Sencho, she flees..." I enjoy writing these things, but does anyone read them? I wonder. —JerryFriedman (Talk) 06:23, 1 March 2009 (UTC)
File copyright problem with File:Manganese glass under UV.jpgThank you for uploading File:Manganese glass under UV.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page. If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 12 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

Pictures in commonsHi I noticed you put in some pictures for the article tamatebako. If you set up an account on wiki commons and upload pictures there it makes it easy for all wikis to use the pictures. Here for instance is some origami pictures on commons commons:category:Origami. Any pictures uploaded there must have no copyright problems restricting their use so no company logos or suchlike. The pictures can be used in wikipedia without any special prefix just as though they were uploaded here. Pictures here which have a permissive copyright will normally migrate to commons after a while but it is pretty slow. Removing George Bogle's childrenHello Wombat1138, this is in relation to https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=George_Bogle_%28diplomat%29&diff=prev&oldid=380754450 where you say that Bogle's children married in Scotland. I am now editing s:Narratives of the mission of George Bogle to Tibet.djvu and I cannot find anything about his children, while Markham clearly states that he knows one lineage that survived, that of Mrs Martha Brown, George Bogle's sister. I would like to know more about Bogle's children. Maybe this fits into the wikipedia article as well. Removing Replaceable fair use File:Keopuolani tree.pngThanks for uploading File:Keopuolani tree.png. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject). If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page.
