An Automated Message from HagermanBotHello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! HagermanBot 20:32, 15 March 2007 (UTC) Your comments address a larger issue with the Bäke article and that is an overall lack of citations for the "oh, how the Wehrmacht shined" - type of claims. I'd guess the original core of the article was written based on older German sources that were worked into English-language versions by fans of the Wehrmacht. My impression has been that older (post-World War II before the Wall fell) German sources are not very accurate and tend to present sweeping generalizations like the one you took issue with on the talk page. Some of the text that followed was written by me a few years ago to point out that Bäke's operations against the 90th Division were anything but successful. This problem of unsourced claims can be found in article on Allied leaders as well -- John Shirley Wood being an example. W. B. Wilson (talk) 05:15, 4 May 2013 (UTC) Hi, |
