Hello :-) I knew you when I edited as Tellyaddict and have always been impressed with your contributions, I noticed your RfA which is not yet up and running, so just give me a shout when its ready because I'd like to co-nominate you as I think you'd make a great admin. Cheers! The SunshineMan19:03, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
No problem. Various users have reverted vandalism on my user page recently, and it's good to be able to pass on the favour. Yours, Bencherlite17:47, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Congratulations, Will! You've essentially passed your RfA, unanimously (I assume the one !vote is disregarded). Anyway, if you ever need any help with the admin tools, feel free to contact me on my talk page, or via email. Nishkid64 (talk)17:58, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for reverting vandalism on my user page. Is it just me or is there a dedicated vandal at work today? Anyhow, your work is greatly appreciated. --TeaDrinker20:59, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You're very welcome. Happy to help. It does look rather like there is a dedicated userpage vandal out there today. Will (aka Wimt) 21:01, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah I'm afraid I'm probably going to have to defer that one to someone more experienced. That's quite a big rangeblock of an AT&T IP pool so I don't know how much collateral damage that could cause. Probably worth waiting for a more experienced rangeblocker! Will (aka Wimt) 22:15, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'd just like to say congratulations on becoming a Wikipedia administrator. Well done! You deserve that honour :-) Lradrama10:41, 19 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Remember you must always follow the rules, except for when you ignore them. You will always pick the wrong one to do. (See #5)
Remember to assume good faith and not bite. Remember that when you are applying these principles most diligently, you are probably dealing with a troll.
Use the block ability sparingly. Enjoy the insults you receive when you do block.
Thanks for taking care of that, sorry about the mess. I outlined what I tried to do here and what happened. So can anything be done about moving the archived version called Archive to September 2005 into an Archive 2 or it has to be left as it is. --BrokenSphere22:00, 19 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hey - no problem. It looks like all the archives were simply created by copy and pasting so that would probably be the best way to fix that archive. Just copy the old revision into the now empty archive 2 page. Will (aka Wimt) 22:02, 19 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
question
I'm new to wikipedia (although I edited Martin Luther Kind Jr. web page once to include the number of people he spoke to when he gave his famous "I have a dream speech")
Anway, you deleted my article on Crair's Journey, saying that subject does not assert significance. What could I do to make it "assert significance"? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Noahlantz (talk • contribs).
Hehe yeah I removed mine when I saw you'd blocked the guy, but as far as your salting is concerned, it's up to you! There's probably no harm leaving it salted for a bit in case the guy comes back under another name. He seemed quite persistent. Regards. Will (aka Wimt) 02:04, 22 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for helping protect the Mary Beth Harrell article. I've been having all sorts of trouble with it. People really don't like her, I guess. Also, congrats on becoming an admin! I've seen you around and you always make wonderful edits. Thank you for your help, and see you around! DangerousNerd talk17:07, 22 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My user page
Thank you a whole lot. I can honestly say I have no idea what all that vandalism was about. Dodger Of Zion refers to something that isn't even in the realm of what the said vandals were claiming. Your hard work is far from unappreciated, so...
The RickK Anti-Vandalism Barnstar
I give you the anti-vandalism barn star for never surrendering to the idiots and small-minded who get their jollies from belittling others. DodgerOfZion03:33, 23 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the vandalism revert. Btw, I have sprotected your talk page (and mine too) for one hour. The vandal is in a MASSIVE dyn ip pool. Hopefully that would get him disintersted. --soumtalk14:55, 23 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for removing racist vandalism to my userpage. I am very offended by what the Ip did, it looks like the one mentioned up above in the dicussion. Who has rolled a new Ip to harass editors. Francisco Tevez17:39, 23 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah you're welcome for the revert. Unfortunately it does seem to be a person with access to a large number of IPs who is vandalising a number of userpages. I've watchlisted your userpage so hopefully if he returns I should catch it if I'm around. Regards. Will (aka Wimt) 17:48, 23 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I noticed you blocked 74.245.223.221 on june 22. He/she started vandalizing articles again upon returning. I would appreciate it if you took a quick look. PStrait07:58, 24 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hey - yeah it looks like he did. As he hasn't made any edits for 12 hours though, I won't block at the moment but I'll keep an eye out in case he returns. Regards. Will (aka Wimt) 08:18, 24 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry
I'd already blocked User:WV123 when you gave him the warning, so I just replaced the warning with the block notice. Sorry about that, but I feel like it's a pretty clear-cut example of a vandalism-only account. EVula// talk // ☯ //20:20, 24 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah I have blocked him. Blocked users are still able to edit their own talk pages though, which explains why he is still editing. If he continues to abuse it though, I'll semiprotect the talk page to prevent him doing so. Regards. Will (aka Wimt) 23:08, 25 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Contest the non-notability label. Despite enlarging article and showing references, page still flagged. Fail to understand criteria.

Re: About Dramatic Chipmunk
Hmmm. I get your point. Despite not entirely agreeing, will refrain for now.
Thanks for reverting the vandalism on my user page. Given what I was warning him for (vandalising the user page of the last person to warn him), I was expecting it, but you got it before I even noticd. Again, thanks! Angus Lepper(T, C, D)00:24, 30 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Why did you revert my edits to this user's profile? It is well documented that the edits I made are factual, and the user has not had the option to decide if he wants it on his profile or not. 71.197.197.10002:17, 30 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
No, not at all. If he wanted to add something to his userpage, he can do so when he returns. It is not up to you to do so. And your edits are simply personal attacks as I say. Now go and do something useful. You are very much on your last warning here. Will (aka Wimt) 02:25, 30 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Clearly with this edit you have shown that you are also User:Rockermang, a user with a history of nothing more than vandalism. I'm not sure what you are hoping to achieve here, but please stop it. I am off to sleep now anyway. Will (aka Wimt) 02:35, 30 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Wimt/Archive. Thank you for your support and kind words in my RfA, which passed with 95 support, 1 oppose, and 1 neutral !votes. It means a lot to me to have your individual support and the collective support of so many others. I truly will strive to carry myself at a level representing the trust bestowed in me as I use the mop to address the never-ending drips of discontent in need of caretaker assistance.
What is Your opinion about Red Army crimes category and articles about military (comunistic or not) massacres? Do You suppose I suffered users attack yesterday or not? Why so speed deletion of my article on computer crime? It was marked to speedy delete for 3 minutes and urgrently it was deleted!
I'm afraid I know very little about that subject. As far as speedying your article is concerned, I did this because it made little sense and was in article space. If you want to put across your point, doing so by creating inappropriate articles really won't help your case. As for why I noticed it and deleted it so quickly, that's because you had used the {{helpme}} template in article space, which immediately arouses suspicions. Regards. Will (aka Wimt) 20:30, 30 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Why do you suppose wiki user:talk page hacked becouse of describing Red army crimes hiders to be NONSENSE?Ttturbo09:28, 1 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. This means that such crimes must be presented and discussed becouse of Soviet propoganda described only one side of it's army history!I think it was really suspicious, asking for help in such a way after attack in a style of Russian secret services! They made tremendous hacking attacks against Estonians recently and this is their method! I suppose they and Kim Philbys pernetrated wikipedia too. I would like You could find something positive from my deleted article and publish something in usefull way.
Well I'm afraid I'm probably not going to be much help, because I'm rather confused by the whole situation. Sorry about that. Probably best for me to defer it to someone more knowledgeable in such areas. Regards. Will (aka Wimt) 20:50, 30 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I am sorry for what I did. I have a reason for why I.. (I shouldn't really say "I") did it but it sounds unbelievable so I will just take the blame. "I" promise not to vandilise any important articles.. or any articles for that matter.. anymore. --24.95.66.8803:18, 1 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Whether or not that's true, I don't have any great urge to discuss such matters with you on IM. If you want to put your point across you can do so here. However, the fact is simple - if that is your account, you need to log in to make such changes to the userpage. If you can't for some reason I suggest you create a new account. Thank you so much for your participation in my recent RfB. Though it closed with 72% support (below the required 90%), I'm still quite pleased at the outpouring of support shown by a fair percentage of the community.
I'm currently tabulating and calculating all opposing and neutral arguments to help me better address the community's concerns about my abilities as a bureaucrat. I think you may have noticed the multiple vandalisms by different IPs to multiple admin's user pages and talk pages where he/she redirects the pages to Emo (slang). Yeah that guys gone nuts, I've protected quite a few user pages this morning, including this one. Happy editing. :) KOS | talk08:33, 4 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I actually have no interest in the subject what-so-ever. I seen it on the "Recent Changes" page, clicked on it, revert, Warn2'd the user, and went on from there. Seen it was reverted again, Warn3'd and well, you get the idea. I have no real interest in the article, I leave that up to someone else.
I was not vandalising, I actually hate vandalism, so I wouldn't do it myself and contrary to User:Perspicacite, I don't have a "anti-Semitic agenda". All I do is revert vandalism when I have done the work I can for the day. I give you all a hand with the vandalism "parade". No "agenda" and no vandalism from me. - NeutralHomerT:C12:42, 4 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

sigh* Could you please speak to User:Perspicacite about comments like this and this. What I said, while losing my temper, on the September 11 "days of the year" page had NOTHING to do with my mistake today and asserting that the two events are connected and saying that I have a "anti-Semitic agenda" is a personal attack I would hope this user knows is against the rules. Please talk with him. - NeutralHomerT:C13:00, 4 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Will, a user that you blocked indefinitely yesterday (User:Wikimaster987) has blanked his user page an hour ago. Is that okay (in other words: can blocked users still make edits on their user talk page or does it mean he was unblocked)? Malc8213:59, 30 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hey - yeah that user is indef blocked. Blocked users are still able to edit their own talk pages (so that they can place unblock requests there). However, it is possible to protect the talk page from editing if they abuse it repeatedly. Will (aka Wimt) 14:01, 30 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hey - you're welcome for the revert. I've left a comment at that sockpuppetry case and on the new user's talk page. It's pretty clear that they are the same but, given their two article contributions so far with the new account have been positive, I am going to assume good faith that they might want to turn over a new leaf. I will however keep a very close eye on the account and have informed them that this will be their last chance. Regards. Will (aka Wimt) 22:38, 5 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for deleting the vandalism on my user page. That's a real big help, since I'm currently on vacation, and not able to monitor it. The vandal needs to be blocked. Flap Jackson22:44, 5 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Ridiculous conversation with a ridiculous user
Hello, I thought maybe you could help me a little. I reverted some vandalism on an article, which resulted in a most ridiculous argument with the vandal, and you can see that on my talkpage (click on the blue part of my signature). Now he's going to do something daft by the sound of things after I tried to make him see sense, and he refused to believe. I don't have much experience yet with these matters, is there anything you can suggest? Please look at the relevant discussion on my talkpage if you've time. Many, many thanks, Lradrama09:36, 6 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Warned, and I'm keeping a very close eye on him. If he continues I'll block him since he appears to just be here to disrupt. Regards. Will (aka Wimt) 09:47, 6 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Since he vandalised your userpage after my warning, I've blocked him indefinitely. Hopefully that should put an end to all the nonsense! :-) Will (aka Wimt) 09:49, 6 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thankyou so much for your assistance. I think he created another account to vandalise my userpage after you blocked him. There were two more edits of the same nature. I've never had such a childish conversation in years! Thank you so much. Lradrama10:01, 6 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

When I look at the diffs of the talk pages that User:Goingalso posted this disturbing image to, I can still see the image even though it's deleted. Is there anyway to fix this without deleting the talk pages? Thanks Dina14:29, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm that's very strange. If it's that particular deleted image that's showing up, the only think I can think of is that some of the squid servers haven't caught up with the database yet and so are still displaying the image even though it has been deleted. If that is the case, I'd hope the image would stop displaying there shortly then. Unless there's something else causing it that I can't think of. Will (aka Wimt) 14:34, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hi there; I have extended this user's block, which you applied for 24 hours, to 72 hours in the light of the edits he has made on his talk page. If you, in turn, think that I am too lenient please feel free to extend it further. --Anthony.bradbury"talk"20:48, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
That looks fine to me. I've removed the nonsense from his talk page too and semi protected it for the length of the block to stop him making any more such edits. Regards. Will (aka Wimt) 20:53, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Help with article about (Kirk Fraser)
Im sending you a request. I've look over the deletion of Kirk Fraser, The original article had the incorrect spelling of his last name. Check out the (http://www.answers.com/topic/kirk-frasier) the article is still wrong. We originally created a new page on Wikipedia with the correct spelling and paste the content from Wikipedia with the incorrect spelling of Frasier. It was shortly deleted, we once again created it again, and it was also deleted. We don't know what to do. It seems like once it's up it taken down again, when it was originally put up by some one else. We just wanted to change the spelling of the Last name and fix the content that was wrong. Can you please help me in guiding me to correct this issue. Thanks.
Hello there. The reason that the article is currently being deleted when it is recreated at the moment is that it fulfils the speedy deletion critera G4 in that it is an article that has been deleted per an articles for deletion discussion which occurred here. If you wish to create the article again you should progress via a deletion review, the instructions of which can be found on that page. Hope that helps.
